What memories..back in the day I had a Pioneer tuner (with the heavy weighted dial knob), Crown amp , Akai reel to reel , Marantz equalizer , Imsai cassette deck , KLH tower speakers and to top it off..a Pioneer single motor/direct drive turn table with the best diamond Ortofon stylus..what fun times I had listening to all my vynils...and cassettes.
Recently my parents moved to a retirement facility and my dad had a cool Marantz receiver. I asked him about it....I nearly died when he told me he gave it to Goodwill. As a kid I used to sit if front of my uncles entire glass encased system and listen to Aerosmith Rocks on Koss headphones in the the '70's. I loved looking at the VU meters.
During my first trip to this place, Bobby told me that some people come here to find a cure to sickness and I knew what he meant. And then we laughed.Pls come and visit, surely a very nice place including the personnel.

I went to school with Bobby getting our EE degree. Amazing after all these years he is still in business. Visited that store > 25 years ago before I moved away from Vegas. The place looks exactly the same as before. This brings back so much memory. Thank you for posting this. Hopefully store will open again soon.

Wow, what a trip down memory lane ! Caught a glimpse of a Sansui A-80, a 65 watt integrated amp I once bought back in 81. Got a solid 20 plus years out of it before the dials started becoming loose. Regret throwing it out when only minor repairs would have breathed new life into it. Thanks for the tour !

There's a guy in Windsor, Ontario that has a similar vintage audio/video store. He even has a small library in a back room full of old owners manuals. I bought an old Panasonic RE-8840 Quadraphonic 8-track with weird looking sonar scopes for panning the surround speakers.😎

I saw that the amp part of the Sansui G33000 wasn't for sale that was the all time king ! Even though it was 2 seperate parts that Sansui sound is hard to beat !

The Teac reel to reel looks like one I had back in the 70's . It had 2 spk,s in the sides a 8 track player and played both sides of the reel to reel tape . And I miss it a lot someone stole my set up before 1980 .

Ah now I know why a new $3,000 amp I took to a repairer in my country came back with bad scratches on the side. They stack them on their side in the repair shop. They weren’t made to be stacked on their side. The feet are on the base. I hope they have a soft material lining their shelves.

I saw my old Teac A-6300 reel to reel that was playing too along with some of my high end Pioneer Elite gear. I just can't afford your McIntosh stuff or I would certainly have that. Have always enjoyed my Pioneer gear. Thanks
I'm facing a gorgeous 1972-vintage Pioneer SX-828 receiver on eBay for $330 USD ("works great"), all lights work, panel, tuning needle light, etc. Immaculate. One owner, kept in a cabinet for 30+ years. Only 1 slight chip on back top corner of wooden side panel, that's it. Only problem is: it's 1972-vintage. That means electrolytic caps are done (despite it "working great" - doubtless all caps are way out of spec/tolerance)... & who knows how many transistors, diodes and power resistors are soon to follow. The SX-828 also has a tragic design flaw somewhere in the power supply (never corrected...no "updated" or revision models): a resistor in the regulator circuit is prone to frying and burning the PCB. Always lusted after this unit since I was a 13 year old kid...now here it is, I can easily buy it, and I'm like, "no way...don't need the heartache." I don't want it just as a museum piece, collecting dust.
Trev0r98 as long as you have a service center near you to bench test it & able to do repairs in the future, I say go for it if it makes you happy. That's how I do my shopping 👌🎼✨
Hidden treasures bring back the old days. How many music still play their vintage audio equipment 2020 ? I am still enjoy my vintage equipments built in 1975s. They were built and still able to repair easily. Hopefully they still able to get spare parts. Japanese built hifi are repairable in modular and discrete form. They are still capable of producing good quality sound. Which is good for cutting electronics scraps.

I love old school stereo's. I currently own and use 2 STA2700 100Watt Realistic receivers and a Pioneer SX626. I have a combined 9 turntables hooked them and just love there sound. I also have 10 year old Sony receiver I use for several dvd players. Plus just hooked up one more table to it. It sounds ok, but the analogs blow the doors off it in quality sound and power. CD's are only used for the cars in my home
@@vpconcepts9838 You missed one the one on the Sony. I also have a piece of junk Crosley, only use the crosley's to burn CD, but use the other tables. So makes it ten I use.
I had a Sansui 9090DB years ago. But I like my Pioneer SX 1250 better. Just sounds more rich. Unfortunately, it is setting in my closet, waiting to be restored. Right channel went out.

When panning over the Sansui G33000, you missed showing the gorgeous face plate section of the receiver. Same with the Sansui 9090 that he talked about. Just passed it by. Are you aware the 33000 is a two piece receiver?

I had an HK T60 turntable years ago. Listening right now to an HK Onyx Studio 6 bluetooth speaker with my LG V30 playing music through the quad core DAC (headphone jack). Sounds pretty good.

It was a great way to climb the hifi ladder and one shop allowed you a 7day loan on equipment and take your old kit in part exchange as well. I also have 10 year old Sony receiver I use for several dvd players. Plus just hooked up one more table to it. It sounds ok, but the analogs blow the doors off it in quality sound and power. CD's are only used for the cars in my home

@@vpconcepts9838 You missed one the one on the Sony. I also have a piece of junk Crosley, only use the crosley's to burn CD, but use the other tables. So makes it ten I use.
Turntable at 12:39 is Sota Star Sapphire, made in Wisconsin. (I make custom isolation feet) ... your Japan video popped up in my feed.

When panning over the Sansui G33000, you missed showing the gorgeous face plate section of the receiver. Same with the Sansui 9090 that he talked about. Just passed it by. Are you aware the 33000 is a two piece receiver?

I had an HK T60 turntable years ago. Listening right now to an HK Onyx Studio 6 bluetooth speaker with my LG V30 playing music through the quad core DAC (headphone jack). Sounds pretty good.

It was a great way to climb the hifi ladder and one shop allowed you a 7day loan on equipment and take your old kit in part exchange as well.
