Watched this and got goosebumps all over again. Saw both Empire tour shows in Seattle back on Dec 31st '91 and Jan 1st '92 and I instantly went back in my mind's eye to those incredible 2+ hr shows with this jet city women performance. Ryche n roll 🤘
Was lucky enough to see them 5xs. From Operation Livecrime to American Soldier tour. Everytime I saw them, they were AMAZING!!! Nothing can compare to Tate and DeGarmo
Fantastic performance. Whole band great, but Chris DeGarmo was a real treasure. Jet City Woman, possibly the best solo in the entire Queensryche catalog. Simply masterful.
Saw them play a warm-up gig at the London Astoria for the Promised Land tour. Very low-key but they were awesome. No support, not much in the way of lighting or fancy effects, just the band doing their thing. Quality
I got to see them front row and earlier in the day got to meet Eddie.....one of the best bands ever but it REALLY bothers me that many do not know the first two LP's and EP, Watch QUEESNRYCE TOKYO 1985
@@ms.felonystrutter2472 I believe that i have all of their albums up to Empire and I also have Hear in the Now Frontier. Rage for order is still one of my favorite albums ever made by any band I like. I also love every song off the Operation: Mindcrime album. Such a great band.
I concur with previous post, without Tate, QR will never be the same. He is the voice of the band. Anyone else tryin to fill his shoes would have to be able to sing better, and a few hit songs would have to have been produced. From what I've seen, that's not going to happen. Doesn't matter who owns the name. As much as I love the band and songs, the show is over; now's the time to get over it, or go down as almost as famous as you should have been. Breaks my heart.
I gotta agree. I did give some of the newer albums a chance. I bought the self titled album. It had a few good songs on it. I sold it eventually. Out of the 3 they've done under Todd, Condition Human is probably my favorite. But these newer albums lack something. With each new album, Queensryche is leaning towards a heavier direction. Nothing wrong with heavy as the original Queensryche was quite good at that. But there was always a balance. And there was emotion in the older songs that the newer ones are also missing.
Any album with the name Queensryche on it will be filled with kick-ass music. They never stopped making albums, but I know what you mean. Imagine what could have been. I'm stunned they're playing one of my favorite songs Waiting On A Friend, in this video, and then I hear Bridge for the 1st time since 1990.
I'm going to admit I am the biggest idiot in the world for the simple reason that back in 94 when I was working at turning Stone casino as a security guard I actually was able to walk and check out Queensryche as they were doing soundchecks and I actually got to meet and shake Geoff Tate's hand and didn't even know who he was but I loved queensryche music especially operation mindcrime which is the album I fell in love with first and when I was able to see the whole concert I couldn't believe that I had shaking the hand of the lead singer. I felt like the biggest idiot because I didn't even think to find out what they look like. I am the biggest idiot in the world. Both Geoff and Chris both came up to me and I shook both of their hands and I probably could have even gotten backstage passes but I was working and I was an idiot. The only good thing that came out of it was I got to sing operation mindcrime with the band, live. I'll never forget. I really wish they never broke up and they never got old, truth be told they were one of the most dangerous bands in this world of politics because they spoke the truth about everything.
I was there at the front after sitting on the cold royal albert hall outside floor for 5 hours, he got pushed round in a wheelchair by a 'nurse' for Of Mind they did the astoria too before this, great show
AS a QR fan as soon as the EP was released I was so happy when my Gods of Rock....KISS took out QR opening the Animalize tour It REALLY bothers me that people by pass it seems the EP,, WARNING AND RAGE IS SO UnDERRATED Please watch QR Live Tokyp 1985 a TRUE POWER Metal band. I think a GREAT tour would have been Fates Warning opening for QR. FATES AND QR were y far the two best ever progressive metal bands
Parts of Bridge reminds of that Cat Stevens song I hate they covered. owever that Stones cover OMFG....IT IS BRILLIANT eter than the Stones ....This and is sooooo talented. it is scary Lovethem i was shocked.
This is the real Queensryche. I’ve tried enjoying the new line up but it just isn’t the same. 2 original members now? it’s got stupid and they just play straight edge metal, the original band was more versatile and creative.
BLOODY HELL THEY LOOK SO DIFFRENT FROM EMPIRE HERE BC GEOOF TATE SHAVED HIS HEAD AND EDDIE GREW A BEARD MICHAEL HASNT CHANGED THAT MUCH SCOTT GREW A BEARD CRIS HAIR GOT A TINY BIT SHORTER
queensryche is special . I don’t know how to explain it . but . it is no ordinary sound.
Scott is a phenomenal drummer.
Makes so much sense that Geoff plays sax! Knows how to use it all the control to sing awesome!
IMPOSSIBLE TO TOP THE ORIGINAL LINE UP. GEOFF WAS THE MAN ! uluimate singer.
never seen this.. thanks it was great! loved Promise land Disc.
Wow! Do I dearly miss Tate and DeGarmo! They were authentic musicians on an awesome rock-and-roll band.
That is exactly right ! I love them!

It is a live session and they sounded just so awsome
STILL blown away and shocked by Waiting on a Friend cover....WOW. They also cover Scarborough Fair.
Fantastic performance. Whole band great, but Chris DeGarmo was a real treasure. Jet City Woman, possibly the best solo in the entire Queensryche catalog. Simply masterful.
gowanis I quite liked the Kelly Grey version on the live evolution dvd👍
@gowanis agreed! Chris is one of my all-time favorite guitarists with a unique sound.
They exist on their own plain
A class act.....unbelievable musicality!!!!!
I didn't know this existed until today. Thanks for posting.
Laura Stevens same here! This channel is amazing, and it’s truly rare to find a gem like this on RUclips anymore.
The best vocal I’ve heard. Period.
In person, the guys are down to earth and very cool. I'm sure they thought the question portion was just silly.
when Mtv actually was a music channel... btw; great spit-protection glass for Scott...
Probably the best live version of Jet City that there is!! \,,/
the entire performance was brilliant..... you just mix it right and it sounds just like the studio version
Great footage, thank you for sharing.
My favorite Queensryche era, it would have been amazing to see them perform during the Promised Land tour.
Judezki92 I saw them in Minneapolis during that tour. Type O Negative opened for them. Pretty good show.
Jelsick Really, Type O Negative..definitely demonstrates the sign of the times.
Saw them play a warm-up gig at the London Astoria for the Promised Land tour. Very low-key but they were awesome. No support, not much in the way of lighting or fancy effects, just the band doing their thing. Quality
That was an amazing show
It was phenomenal
two of my fav Queensryche songs!
Man I wish I could have seen them live back in the day.

Great to see the original Queensrÿche performed in 1,994

Every single member is class
That is so cool they did Rolling Stones waiting on a friend
Without Geoff Tate and Chris Degarmo their is no QUEENSRYCHE!!
And now Scott
I used to think that but, the new album The Verdict is awsome👍

Absolutely. No Tate no Queensryche seen the cover band last year and it was sad.
👏👍 Geoff and Chris are Queensryche! 🤟
Une merveille ce morceau de Saxo, joué par Geoff, j’adore, un instrument qui manque bien trop souvent, il enchante♥️🙏
Thanks for share, its realy a jewel of the crown
Promised Land Tour - Munich, Terminal1 --- Hei Folks, this was one of the greates concerts in my life!!!! The Band was brilliant!!!!
Your def an idiot you dumb ass
@@jesp2603 I just made a mistake, but you were born a mistake, prick!
No you already f'd up
That voice… legendary…I’d listen to Geoff Tate sing the phone book.
Saw them live the day after at the Royal Albert Hall London……were awesome
I was there at the front after sitting on the cold royal albert hall outside floor for 5 hours, he got pushed round in a wheelchair by a 'nurse' for Of Mind
they did the astoria too before this, great show
Awesome and this is the last of the last for MTV. Yes it is.
Geoff Tate is so talented! Long live Queensryche!🌹💜🌍
10:13 --- There's a fart missing from my life
lol.. I hear part.. butt maybe fart

Ele é incrível... tomara que venha para o Brasil ❤🇧🇷

Great work... Thanks for sharing!
L&I
You're welcome. This is the final and "ultimate" version now :)
QR in their Prime, AWESOME stuff!
They were such an amazing band until 1995.
I dearly miss Tate's vocals (sorry Todd simply doesn't compare) & that signature DeGarmo sound! Those backing vocals!!!
That was fukin awesome!
This will blow your mind the intro 👏🤣
THANX !!!
Where is Chris Degarmo???
Chris is the one with the hat and sunglasses on the righthand side...
Just hit Download-a keeper
There's No Queensrÿche Without Geoff Tate and Chris DeGarmo!
Love this band. what is the name of the 2nd song? it's escaping me right now.
The Bridge
RIP MTV..
Long live MTV Classic.
Poor Michael, he looks like he was so embarrassed
Parts of Bridge reminds of that Cat Stevens song I hate they covered. owever that Stones cover OMFG....IT IS BRILLIANT eter than the Stones ....This and is sooooo talented. it is scary Lovethem i was shocked.

Ada to see them separate like they did. The sound is and will be hard to replicate. They try tho….
The guys who are wearing shades are no longer in Queensryche.
Geoff is God.
2:24 maksudnya dia udah tunangan atau nikah ya? Ada yg bilang dia udah nikah sejak tahun 80an. Aku pikir begitu
I'm just spittin' on a friend- do do do do
BLOODY HELL THEY LOOK SO DIFFRENT FROM EMPIRE HERE BC GEOOF TATE SHAVED HIS HEAD AND EDDIE GREW A BEARD MICHAEL HASNT CHANGED THAT MUCH SCOTT GREW A BEARD CRIS HAIR GOT A TINY BIT SHORTER
Every single one of them look mortified.
Jet City Woman is good tho
Ray COKES THE BEST
BTW as a QR fan since the EP.....the replacement for Geoff is AWESOME.
Ray Cokes ))
ah Ray Cokes, got fired after an onscreen live meltdown on mtv.
and when mtv had a mix of decent bands on rather than stupid reality shows
Those were the days .... when Jeffrey Wayne Tate had hair and didn't slober over his bandmates ...
Out of reach, out of touch...
This was about the time where his voice was going slowly to hell.
idiot!
So cringe.
The most cheesy thing I've seen in a long time. The guys must be embarrassed.
Yeah, especially Michael, he was rolling his eyes after that question
And Geoff on that damn sax. Thinking he’s John Coltrane and whatnot
everytime I leave you say you wont be there and your always there
