You can easily do it by motherboard's jumper pin present on every motherboard incase your cabinet power button has gone damaged. This video shows you that how to jump start a motherboard by bridging the power on header, avoiding the need of a power button on the case.

Just connect and leave immediately ...
Constant connection would cause problems like the pc automatically starting or stopping while running , this is due to a failsafe that turn off the pc if the power button is held for too long
My pc gygabyte h 81 mother board. When power button jumper shorting not on the system. But full power supply off and then on the system automatically starting . What is the solution

I did one more thing, I used the old pwr SW cable and add more wire to it and attacked to a 15rs push switch and hang outside from a hole
What do I do if I only have 1 power pin and a ground

Start your board by attaching a 400/450watt smps, a ram stick,hard disk and processor ..If it gives any display output then it is ok otherwise damaged or simply you can check it by jump start method
No , not forever ..You will have to use cabinet for long term or normal use ..For testing purposes you can use without cabinet.. watch the full video to know about jump start
