We have measured that the crabs will not escape. We have a team, so if someone is going out, another person will take responsibility for taking care of them.
This build is beautiful but it looks easy for the crabs to scape from and they need a decent layer of soil to burrow into. But I like the addition of the cherry tree, it caught my eye. I’m currently looking it up to figure out how to get one lol
I am noticing that many of the vampire crab paladarium builds on YT don't take into account 2 things: 1. Their escapability. They can actually climb up glass, especially if moisture has collected on it. An open top setup will not hold them. 2. They need to burrow. Making these setups without a layer of soil for them to dig into will not be a suitable habitat long term.

Yes, you can use plastic molds instead of rubber. Plastic molds are more rigid and durable, but rubber molds are better for detailed casts due to their flexibility.
Those are not Drosera spatulata. They look more like Drosera pygmaea or another type of pygmy sundew (there are dozens of species). Cool plants in any case👍

Regularly check your setup to minimize the chances of this happening, and provide hiding spots or barriers to prevent such occurrences.

There's a fair number of moisture-tolerant or even bog plants that would be suitable for this. I'd like to get a setup to let my Rain lilies bloom
