When I watched him live in the pre match warm up it was mesmerising. Players used to ping the ball long to him and he’d pluck it out of the air everytime with the behind the body touch. He’s definitely got one of the craziest touches seen in football.

He plays in the turkish League which is the Super League as he is turkish from his parents but he born in Germany (the white jersey and black short in the video is the German national team). In terms of playmaking talent he was up there as one of the best to ever play this game, so many of the things he did I had never seen before from any other player. Incredibly unique and rare talent, only thing that let him down was that his prime hit just as managers started really emphasizing the importance of having every player defend, and Ozil only really wanted to create, not defend. So, unfortunate that one of the best 10's to ever exist came into his peak when managers everywhere started to phase 10's out of the game, but I think we're extremely lucky to have at least seen him soar for the few years he did before that started kicking into effect

Yeah his biggest problem was probably consistency he was either the worst player on the pitch or the best. But on a good day his level of football was out of this world

I dont discredit Ozil, just what guy mantion on last coment, when it come hard game, where everything is seems to be lost, Ozil never be the profil player who can give spirit and courage to players and turn around game, but certinley Luka Modrić was that player, where you can see Real Madrid dominance over 8 years in Europe and Spain. Thats winning mentality only few players in history of football had, thats how you need rank up the greatness.
