Wow, they came out and spoiled that this was in the Half-Life universe pre release, I guess they were worried about how to market this, it's strange to think there was a time before Portal was revered on it's own merit.
Genius marketing for the history books. I thought Portal was going to be this experimental though sterile and formal puzzle solving experience. I love puzzle games but didn’t expect where it went. I was wrong :)

Was the best once the cracks started to show what the game really was. Such an amazing game and time for gaming.
