I'm from Pittsburgh Pennsylvania and we have North folks southern as our trains over here. I would like to see a BNSF / Union Pacific model laid out to be a desert and Donner's pass I think I'd be pretty cool
5:14 Have you ever seen N&W 611 in person? They're running it this summer in Virginia and the Carolinas, but I don't know about Georgia. 5:28 7695 is the only BNSF engine to have the new logo in yellow! 6:17 so they did have a small enough engine to make those tight turns! 7:01 nice catch of that new ET44AC model! The real ones were first built in 2015, and the HO scale model of them is brand new!
I work at the Medina Railroad Museum and we have a 204ft by 14ft HO scale layout which is absolutely amazing. I set a record for the museum last week by running a 170 car long train with 3 locomotives. There's a fresh video of it on my channel.
I once had a steam engine with a trestle bridge. The train would sometimes fall over because the trestle bridge was not connected correctly. I figured out how to connect it correctly myself and it worked. My mother got angry for me fixing it on my own and gave it away.
I miss my train club days back in the late 80's & early 90's. Back then i ran a Tropicana Train & a Super Chief before the days of DDC. I wonder if any clubs run just DC only?
The best layouts, i think, are the ones where you are just standing there and all the sudden a train appears, and disappears, and another one comes, and goes....

I wanted it to be all things trains.
You know what I see missing is the Graffiti written on the side of the cars...…….I've watch multiple videos of these Model trains and haven't seen any Graffiti and that would make it more realistic.
I despise graffiti. I thoroughly hate seeing it. It is a modern reflection of the dregs of human society. Never saw it in the era that most model railroads are modeling so you aren’t going to see it on most displays unless they are doing the modern era. Even then, if I was modeling the modern era I would choose not to have that garbage showing

There might be one but I think so many like the ease of use with DCC - especially with a club layout - that DC is seldom used
