Excellent blending of murals with foreground! And superior aging of rolling stock. And the terrain modeler deserves top grades! Thanks for the experience!!
This illustrates how important the little things can be. So many fine and intesting small details that tell a story, adding notable depth to the scenes created here. It is not often you see such consistent thought put into so many fine and small yet important details. Kudos to the builder, and to the photographer as well.
I do not remember when I enjoyed a model railroad as much as I did with this one. You have to watch it more than once to even begin to enjoy the small stuff . But............. the coupler mismatch at the crossing at 3:57 is scary. As a member of a round robin train group, that is one of the top two or three things that cause us to have problems when we get together to run our layouts. The coupler height gauge is one of the most important tools a model railroader can own. Again, GREAT railroad and thanks for sharing with us.
I like the HO scale the best. I was a scale modeler building stuff from scratch when I was a kid. I built several large bridge structures for a friends multi-level railroad. We made it a college project.
I fear my modeling days are over. My eyes do not focus to see the detail. I still have all of my truck projects in boxes, for that's what I went to after my access to trains stopped. The fine detail is difficult for me now. Currently, I don't possess a modeling desk. Everything in storage. With rail road modeling, I was frustrated with the scale difference between the autos and the trains. It's much better now.
Very right. Plus nice to see no train. I say this cause how often one goes train spotting, see no trains. The rails and the smell of the creosote ties and the scenery, is a lot why we love trains.
It's all really gorgeous, but that curtain flapping out of the window in the breeze in the left foreground at 2:14 is super clever. That's a first for me. Great job.
Cool this might be the best one yet I took a trip to Cheyenne Wyoming for big boy train and our own little car/train excursion I saw three big boys that trip
Beautiful job of blending the scenery components with the photo backdrop. If I wanted to find nits, consider the "Do Not Enter" and "Under Construction" signs. Those would not have been in use, yet, in the 50s and 60s in the US Southwest.
I plan to do this one day, but as of now it is far to expensive. But yours is amazing, absolutely beautiful! From the tree and bushes to the weathering on the cars. Absolutely beautiful!
The development of prices in the field of model railways has become absolutely expensive! Of course, there is wonderful digital technology, but a digital locomotive for 800 euros or about 650 US dollars - that's very expensive!
PILENTUM Yes it is expensive, and hopefully I can do it, until then I will continue to watch on the internet, I love your set up so I will also watch yours, and thanks for the heart by the way!
A beautiful layout and well done scenery and cars. When the doodle bug crosses the bridge the opposing signal is green or clear in railroad terms. This would mean that the bug has run a red or stop signal and headed for trouble. I’m guessing the signals are not automated but are illuminated permanently in this aspect.
WOW, The guy in the caddy at the grade crossing next to the gas station. He must be Aundrea the giant looking over the wind shield. Very good work, wish I was the good!
Very nice layout and beautiful layout, especially since I assume it's portable. My only nitpick is the Santa Fe caboose, while it's beautifully done, is much too modern for the steam era.
Absolutely fantastic folks .. more wheel screeching would be great with engine's and crossings signals .you know what I mean. That irritating noise of metal on metal wheels make. Folks make model making proud
VestedUTuber no it isn’t I live in the elburn area and trains there get almost as much of 300 passengers I know because I’m a train enthusiast spotter and expert I go down to the elburn station and train watch for a couple of hours
Very very well constructed MRR. And in Germany !! Wow. I wish though there had been a panoramic view of the whole layout instead all being closeups ...
Absolutely phenomenal artistry and realism. The blending of the landscaping with the backdrop is really great.
Great detail on the engines and rail cars.

The videography is as exceptional as the model artistry. Fantastic!

GRAND! Love everything there!
who could possibly dislike this?...outstanding work!!!...makes me want to build another layout
Great detail on the engines and rail cars. The weathering really looks good.
Wow... What a stunning scene!
PILENTUM no I have never visited railway museum. Where's it?
I like the HO scale the best. I was a scale modeler building stuff from scratch when I was a kid. I built several large bridge structures for a friends multi-level railroad. We made it a college project.
Brad, and today? Are you still a model builder?
I fear my modeling days are over. My eyes do not focus to see the detail. I still have all of my truck projects in boxes, for that's what I went to after my access to trains stopped. The fine detail is difficult for me now. Currently, I don't possess a modeling desk. Everything in storage. Super PILENTUM!!!!!👍👍👍👍👍
Weathering on the cars is superb!
A master piece!!!!!!
Stunning scenes and scenery!
My favorite is small towns, dessert , mountain ranges awesome layout exstreamly awesome my compliments sir
This is a stunning layout! I am loving the few that have chosen to present a layout with a desert Southwest landscape.
No Name I agree very much so awesome layout
Super model! Mersi Pilentum!
Great train layout. I have ridden all the AMTRAK trains west of St. Louis. Riding the rails is a great way to see the American West.
I knew this video would be amazing when the bridge rust was running down the side of the concrete piers. Amazing patina and realism.
World class modeling! Thanks for sharing!
You Europeans do a better job modeling our railways than us Americans! Great job!
Unfortunately, I have not had the opportunity to film in the US.
Good job matching the backdrop with the scenery. Excellent job.
6:58 That is a FANTASTIC scene!
Very right. Plus nice to see no train. I say this cause how often one goes train spotting, see no trains. The rails and the smell of the creosote ties and the scenery, is a lot why we love trains.
Those backdrops are amazing!
Looks like an old Malboro cigarettes ad.
Would love it in black n white. Super real footage.
The video in black and white?
Incredible layout!
Very beautiful railway model.
The backgrounds blend in perfectly, well done.
Amazing video! Thank you for the uploading! 👏👏👏
Thanks for watching!
One of the nicest I've ever seen.
Formidable ta chaîne j'arrête pas de regarder et je prends des notes
Such a beautiful layout, and great photography. Love the Doodlebug!
At 4:02, I couldn't help but to think of that old hiking song..."The Happy Wanderer".
Pilentum: Great video. Background scenery, track work all combine for a beautiful bit of model railroad art. Very nostalgic as well.
Thanks, Mark.
Very nice weathering.
Excellent layout, excellent work...
Great job,beautiful scenery 😎
Thanks for watching.
Beautiful looking layout! Nice work on the scenery, structures, and weathering. Fun video to watch, thanks for sharing!
Even the tracks are slightly imperfect adding to reality, it's a work of artistic craftsmanship ... thanks for uploading. .
The rock work under the left side.of the beginning is fabulous.
Excellent layout. I liked the weathering on the coal hoppers and the bridge piers.
Super. 💙 T.E.N.
Spectacular layout
It's all really gorgeous, but that curtain flapping out of the window in the breeze in the left foreground at 2:14 is super clever. That's a first for me. Great job.
thanks for sharing I like how detailed these layouts are
Thanks for watching!
Awesome layout! Love all the scenes.
When I saw the Super Chief billboad, that brought back memories.I used to paint them &it was an art😄
Belíssima maquete! uma das mais perfeitas que já vi. Show!
Superb scenery. A joy to watch.
Thank you.
Very nicely done!
Magnificent! Makes me want to burn my layout up... Start all over again.
No, Ilike the layout but lacking scenery etc.
Excellent... great detail....
This model railroad reminds me of what the Santa Fe's Phoenix Sub may have looked ?like in the 1950s. Love the Peavine line!
I love model railroads
Wow what a beautiful setup
this is fantastic!!!!
A well filmed video of another great layout!
Simply beautiful and incredible, congratulaciones. 👍😂
Cool this might be the best one yet I took a trip to Cheyenne Wyoming for big boy train and our own little car/train excursion I saw three big boys that trip

So cool!!! Looks like real life...
Spare a thought for those poor car drivers. They just never get across the track before another damn train comes along. So frustrating!
The background blend in with the real part really well! I can actually not even see where it starts.

That was a great layout you dun there it was good to see it
Great video like always
first i thought it was real. oh my god. such a great work.
Too cool!!!
Not hard to catch the train with that speed...
I love the models!
Very nice layout😎
10:34 beautiful bridge
so amazing. and good speed.
Pretty nice layout.
Great job
It's amazing
GREAT!
Very nice layout and beautiful layout, especially since I assume it's portable. My only nitpick is the Santa Fe caboose, while it's beautifully done, is much too modern for the steam era.
I thought that was almost an ANgus caboose from rapido in atsf dress
That style wasn't even common on the Santa Fe. They preferred offest cupola designs even in the end of running cabooses on trains.
Very well done. Thanks for sharing this wonderful video.
Buitifull. Great job on building this model.
Love these models
Absolutely fantastic folks .. more wheel screeching would be great with engine's and crossings signals .you know what I mean. That irritating noise of metal on metal wheels make. Folks make model making proud
yes!... the sound of that steel and creaking of moving parts is so nostalgic
Nice layout
At around 3:30, where the doodle bug crosses the bridge, why is the opposing signal clear?
Great video! Amazing layout! My Favourite shot is at 8:12!
Yes, the Pacific Fruit Express :-)
Very good rendition of a Southeast US Coal Drag.... In Europe!!
Quite impressive.
It's beautiful
So beautiful.
Love the doodlebug!
Awesome layout!!
I love it the traffic of it different looks and trains nice the seneery lovely.
WoW, NICE!
Cool trains
I think it is great that Europeans think American trains are interesting enough to model.

+Curt Christensen
Was, at least. And still is for freight for the most part. But passenger service here is mostly dead outside of the Chicago area.
VestedUTuber no it isn’t I live in the elburn area and trains there get almost as much of 300 passengers I know because I’m a train enthusiast spotter and expert I go down to the elburn station and train watch for a couple of hours
Carbide Jones okay
@Curt Christensen "Of course !!! America is the standard in railroads"
Almost missed your sarcasm. ;)
Wel done. I come from the area being modelled the scenery is very accurate!
HO is the way to go.
Yes, most people use HO scale. Actually, many model railroaders are changing from HO scale to O scale or gauge 1 (not LGB).
Wish more people did N
Finally got some time off for Thanksgiving. Looking forward to working on the layout in the coming days. :)
You Always Show Expensive Trains And I Am On A Shoestring Budget But it's Fun Watching Your Videos
Mark, here you'll find some cheaper model trains:
