Kerala is obsessed with spoken english books and classes but still people still don't speak, because of lack of practice practice is main thing, people are overconcious about grammar rules that stops them from opening their mouth or not getting confidence, there has to be natural interaction with people discussion listening to natural conversation start to think in English. Iam a fluent speaker of English i didn't learn grammar but I practiced with confidence i watch engish movies
Exactly! Languages are meant to be spoken and one can't do that without beginning to speak confidently, even if they make mistakes while doing so. It's equally important to know (not learn, except for students) the basics of grammar. In fact there's no substitute for either.
