My friend and I just rented a couple of these for the day here at Sunday River here in Maine. Total blast. I wasn’t too sure what to expect but it looks great and rides even better than. Better than expected steering response from the front ski and speed control on the back skis. It’s easy to do and really easy to learn and improve on the way you can react with the bike to maintain control. My buddy went home and ordered one he likes it so much. Loved how you really showed how quickly she made progress on learning the ins and outs of the body movement.
I hope more resorts allow these in the future so that my wife can enjoy the snow while I snowboard. I'd even try these out, they look like a good time and a lot less strain on your body.
We hope so too! It’s a great intro to snow sports and Kyle says his he can tell it’s less strain on his body! I snowboard and also noticed less strain since I can face forward on the sno-go.
Much less strain on the knees & back! SnoGo is AWESOME! I’ve been a skier for about 45 years & Snowboarder for about 20, but the SnoGo is an AWESOME method of shredding the mountain!
Ha! Very cool Kyle and April! That looked like great fun. So awesome to see you happy and healthy. Next time you need that Skydio 2 to follow you down the slope! 😎
Learning to snowboard at 45 sucked, but I'm loving it at 52. We finally got some decent snow in our area last week and I've been able to ditch the bike for the board. Nice to see you two in my other playground, enjoy!
@@smallfaucet Lol. I get occasional knee issues, going back to when I dislocated one on a dance floor two decades ago while under the influence. That's why I took up snowboarding instead of skiing: To me a ski looks like a perfect lever for twisting your leg clean off, like winding up a rubber band propeller on a kid's balsa wood glider. Two feet, same board, way safer...
Been snowboarding for 20+ years now and this looks so much fun! Been seeing more of these in the hill this season. Will have to rent one of these soon. Thanks for the vid!
Gotta get one of these. April, kinda looks like you need a shorter stem and a taller bar. Might help get your elbows bent and not be reaching so much for the bar.
Thanks for being a Sno Go ambassador. Tried it in Utah and am waiting for my bike order to arrive. Even as a skiing dinosaur it was fun to ride something new and giggle the whole time just like April. 🌞
Yeah, Sno-Go's are the best. I love snowboarding but I just had a brand new Sno-Go Shift show up at my door. Psyching so hard to get it our there. Thanks for the great vid to get me psyching. See you on the hill April! Either at Bogus or Eagle Bike Park. Hope all is well! :)
Kyle - you guys would have a blast on the flow trails down here at Woodward, Park City on snogos if you want to make a trip of it! +++ foam pits for MTB season :)
Looks so fun! Is there a place in Boise to rent them? I live here and snowboard at Bogus every weekend with my son. Every time we see a snow bike, we stop and ooooh and ahhhh at them.
At 6:11 is low side. Its when you just tip over, toward the inside of the turn ... High side is when the bike stops... And your momentum yeets you across and over the bike, toward the outside if the turn.
That was awesome. Looks like so much fun! I'll never forget that first time skiing. I was a former skateboarder/surfer and I tried to carve turns by leaning on the inside. It took me a while to realize turning was skidding the downhill ski's edge. So much fun! Aloha!
Oh my gosh not this 😂 as a snowboarder I was incredibly sceptical.. but I've given them a closer look and yes: they look very safe thanks to the big contact patch, perfect for beginners or a funny day on the slope!
These snow bikes look amazing - we don't see them in Europe (yet) but hopefully they'll catch on. Also great to see that "regular" skiers are accepting them positively on the slopes, unlike skiboarding (my discipline) where people don't take us seriously although I am having way more fun on these than I ever did skiing...
From my experience, the reason snowboarding hasn't been more accepted is mostly the poor etiquette displayed by many boarders. Mostly by those who don't learn to carve and too often bail down the hill cutting inside the turning arc of skiers.
Yay! More Snogo content! That thing looks like a ton of fun. Where and when can I sign up for a K&A Winter Snogo Camp to give it a try with the same level of expert instruction? 😉
Kyle you're a really good instructor MTB camps for kids/families would be something right up your and April's street I think. Hope your health is improving. Nice wholesome fun video, thanks to both of you. Cheers
Sweet! This way when you go to wreck/slalom… You can fall over and not take your skis with you on the way down. I’ve always been a tuck n roll out of the crash Person.
Dude... Ski Biking got me back into Mtbing after back surgery. We ski bike at Sierra at Tahoe. So many cross overs from Mtbing just drifting on snow... When you fall on the snow it doesn't hurt as much
Yay for for skibiking! Never tried a stand-up 3 planker, but I just built my 2nd custom ski bike for my wife. Video is in the works. Oh and my wife's bike is built around my old DJer....a 2009 Jamis Porker 😂🥳 My wife is now a ski biker too!! I'm 10yrs in on a custom built 2006 Kona SKInky and although I didn't go much at first, the last few seasons I've been leveling up every time I go! And I go to a small resort in Wyoming coz it's quiet and I can razz the place three times over without endangering children 🤗🍻😂😂
Hi Guys! Please also try out a type II Skibike! (The dude in the video incorrectly referred to it as a monoski). The movements on the snow will be similar, and because it's a full-suspension bike, much of what you already teach us to do will be easily transferable!
Her little squeals were too cute. My buddy and I did a sno go experience a couple times last season. I'm hooked. Except they still aren't allowed on some of the mtns here in Co. Maybe next season.
Skiers hated snowboarders in the early days. I remember getting a lot of hate from skiers for being a snowboarder. The snowboarders tended to be rebellious trouble-making teenagers and the skiers tended to be the old fogeys who resist change. The skiers also saw a lot of beginners who were just side-sliding, and scraping away the soft top layer exposing the ice below. It also didn't help that a lot of people were trying snowboarding for the first time and flying down the hill out of control. I fell on my snowboarder one time and crashed into two skiers who were just standing there. When I would sit and rest on the hill, skiers like to spray me with snow as they passed then yell something like "Nothing personal!" Ski resorts would have elections where you'd vote to see if they should continue to allow snowboarders.
I wonder if this would help me learn to manual? I skied Bogus back in 1997. I loved that place. Are either of you skiers? Or just boarders? I ask, because the mechanics look like skiing with proper hand up and out positioning. So many skiers let their hands open up and fall back turning their shoulders. When I watch the current generation or downhill mtn bikers change direction, it looks like this same motion. Even at 50+ I could see giving this a try. :) Thanks for sharing.
Not sure how much it would help with manuals, but I feel like it helps with cornering. I (April) snowboard and Kyle doesn’t have much snow experience. I have a skied a few times and the movements are way more similar to skis.
I saw this When I was station in Japan. The man with disabilities using it and I thought it was very cool. That was back in early 2000, I'm sure the tech is much more define.
I get that you two are really into bikes, as am I, but why not just ski? Skiing is amazing. So glad I grew up when I did, we didn't think that we would be able to do anything right away. Everything has a learning process. I learned how to swim, sail, ski, fly, bike as a young man, and then got into windsurfing in my 50s. It's much more satisfying when there is a challenge. However, it did look like April was having fun.
It’s a great entry into snow sports, especially as an adult like Kyle who wasn’t fortunate enough to get the opportunity to when he was a kid. It is also great for people that are maybe coming back from injuries or have permanent ones that keep them from skiing/boarding, it is easier on the body. Then there are people that maybe prefer this anyways or as an option.
Returning from a major ski crash 12 months ago, this is a great way to still get out there while trying to fully recover. It's a great tool for anyone enjoy the hill, newcomers and experts alike.
Man I really want to ride this thing. It looks like so much fun but unfortunately you don’t really have snow in Germany. If you want to go skiing or something else, then you need to go south. So the region around Austria and the Alps.
It might be an easier or a more stable learning experience to have two skis in the back compared to just one. It’s a great intro to snow sports if no one has done them.
Easier to learn, better control, easier to stop, and more like skiing with emphasis on downhill ski. I thought the ski bike was much harder, counter-intuitive to weight the inside peg, and crashes hurt. YMMV.
If we had hills around here, I’d be rocking one of those. April’s laugh is great! Had me smiling.

Hope you get a chance soon!
Very nice. Great fun doing something new.
Those things are fantastic! Fun to see ya’ll carving up the runs at Bogus.
Thank you!
That looked amazing. April did a great job, I think I would have screamed way more.

Thanks for watching!
How cool! I have never skied or snowboarded but this looks fun!
It’s a great intro to snow sports!

I haven't skied since about 1990, now afraid of the muscles I no longer have, but these I would try!
It is easier on your body!
Definitely wish I could try one of these! Probably would have more fun than on a snowboard
Looks like a lot of fun!
