The armed forces need to take indigenious weapons more seriously and place orders. Testing and no orders is a waste of time and resources and ordering from outside is demoralizing.

Have to take this with a pinch of salt. Previously DRDO calimed Tata kestral was better than Stryker . In the end the army seems to going with stryker as DRDO could not design/produce more Whap.

@abhi565b Thanks to Russian reliability we have not received our S400 systems and our AK 203 factory took a very long time to come into production.
Indian industries are very much capable of producing a reliable gun. If only our forces give them a chance.

SSS Defence products are also world class and need to be tested. If they are getting orders from Foreign customers is a proof of their quality and capacity
The Ministry of Defense's and ADG PI's PR department is appalling. They only post or tweet. They quickly dispel opposition party criticism of them for making baseless accusations, but they say nothing about more important issues like top brass allegedly lobbying to influence the selection of weapons made abroad. The quality of the videos featuring new weapons is also subpar. It has mediocre marketing. They give no consideration to public opinion.
If it goes into testing, then forget about it. Come back 10 years later and you will see Army bought more Sig716 because it was urgent. SSSDefence would have folded their business and gone home.

Why did they put the foresight on the gas tube ? Trying to make something look extraordinary does not mean you have to make it look like a star wars toy gun. 30 rounds magazine would have been better since it has full auto firing mode.
