Disclaimer: Squad is a fairly difficult game. It is not as easy as slorgs make it look.
Yeah, I know that. I haven't even played SQUAD and I have an idea of how difficult it is. I've played Project Reality on LAN against bots, and that stuff is hard to learn and understand. It's like baby's first ARMA but with more action.
Yeah you shouldn't even consider trying SLing until +300 hours. There's just SO much you need to learn about the game to be competent and able to keep up.
Skill issue
Yea what makes it that hard is how hard it is to get a good squad/squad lead that can help the whole team coordinate. People make the mistake of just running around solo thinking it's call of duty and then getting slammed by a full squad on the point or on a patrol

ill tell you, squad is an amazing game for new comers. i learned how to use a mortar and helped my team advance on an objective. the guy that taught me how to use a mortar in under 60 seconds is an amazing player. i have a learning disability and he said it in a way that my lil disabled brain could understand.
Funky and fresh
Hey i was in this match!!! My squad was the one you wiped at the start, set down the radio, and used the mg3 car, i distinctly remember taking the car over to escape from the point and try and find the enemy radio. We failed pretty miserably
You can see our escape at 9:23, looking back at the footage it's pretty nuts that we managed to get away without being blown up by the apc
I was the squad lead btw, that first squad wipe had me hovering alt F4 but i'm glad we stuck around enough to kick slorg's ass

If you die in the game you die IRL, there are no respawns

I seem to be putting off getting this game forever.
I held off because I was big into hell let loose but now I'm fed up of ww2 but go into arma reforger,single player tarkov and grayzone warfare recently, but for sure I need to add squad to my collection.

Slorgs how are you able to set up markers (pings) when you are not fireteam leader or SL? Or is pinging and markers server-options dependent? (12 hrs into the game and I am affraid to even join another game again)
finished the video and realised you was a charlie fireteam leader, appologies and also that crash at the end - it is like being in a real life combat, dominating on all fronts, and all of a sudden your body decides just how oh fun it would be to go into a sudden coma for no reason

at the end of the game there is the scoreboard at the bottom right of the screen you can click that to see the score/winning team

How are your scope is so clean? What are your settings?
Prioritise clarity in scopes, it's a setting in graphics

Nearly every server I play on, everyone says the British faction is awful and not to vote for them, but then ends up winning the match 9 times out of 10 if it does roll Brits. I don't know what the argument is about them being a bad faction. My biggest complaint with them is that the Bulldog troop transport will get stuck on the smallest rock if you even think about taking it off road. The lack of stabilization on the Warriors is a pain but can be forgiven due to the fact that you can just eat 5 or 6 RPGs before blowing up.
My game was constantly crashing too but after changing dx12 to dx11 it fixed it for some reason

How "chill" is the playerbase of Squad? As in, if a newcomer joins a match and is a lil lost, would there be toxicity or are the players welcoming? Considering buying this game 😊
I'd say it depends on the server/squad you join. There are some servers that cater to more experienced players and you'll almost certainly end up getting flamed into the ground on those. But if you join a standard server, join an inf squad, communicate, listen to the squad leader you should be all good. There are a lot of new players in squad at the moment so you wouldn't be alone

4:18 ICO is so great with gunplay where you dont even look down your scope...
No one is looking down a scope off first contact ambush within 50 meters. Especially not a magnified scope. Your perception is tainted. They do need to add a point firing mechanic though where the gun is more in line with your eyes and closer up on the shoulder
