Darrell, I'm 73 yrs old and I have been listening to all the other teachers for years. I just started watching you and you have helped me tremendously. Thanks and keep up the good work
Most easily explained coaching method. I'm 78 years and just want to score a bit better, now having watched your lessons I believe I will achieve my goals. Thank you DK.
I could have had 100 golf instructors and never learn as much as I have learned from Darrell. I have learned more from Darrell from the videos, than 30 years of instruction
Darrell, I’m 81 with a damaged lead knee. I haven’t been able to play the game I love until I got that book. It’s allowed me to hit the ball, not real far, but straight. Thank you for the help.
Darrell I have broken many pieces of wood following your instructions and I have reduced my Handicap by five strokes. Your instructions are very easy to follow and I am enjoying my golf much more. Thanks
I need your book because I can't afford anything other than the free videos you give us and your the only instructor that seems to get through my thick head. I like your style of instruction because your not trying to change my whole swing, you seem to appeal to my natural athletic ability (however small) and when I start hitting or mis hitting the golf ball I look back at your videos and it always helps. Please include me in your top 25 I am a 63 year old golf addict and on a fixed income. If I spend money for lesson plans I can't afford to play! Thanks for the free videos you post!
You are the best teacher I’ve ever seen on RUclips, love watching your videos! Your no nonsense approach was just what I needed! I would be proud to own your book!
Darrell really enjoy your down to earth instructions and videos I’ve read other articles out of magazines and golf instruction books and your demonstrations are “what’s make sense” Keep ‘em coming! Thank you
Darrell thank you in advance. I ran across your video three years ago and realized i was trying to learn the golf swing the wrong way. I played golf pretty good when i was 40. When i was 70 i started going bad. When i turned 80 i was worse. I didn't continue with your method because i kept reading other instruction. Today i found you again. Hit the ground first. I layed some t's on the living room floor and hit the floor right behind the t. It was amazing . I hit the t every time solid. Thanks Darrell. Can't wait to return to the course.
Darrell - I've just returned to golf as a retiree - handicap is 23 - I played to a 12 handicap in my younger years Your simple approach to explaining hitting a golf ball is really helpful - my problem has been improving my consistency - since adopting your approach my ball striking has improved - feel confident I can improve my scoring it's now up to me Thank you
Darrell I just started watching your teaching videos and just one tip (putting more weight on my right side at address) started a laughing party at the range! Hope you mind but I shared it with 5 or 6 others and we all started chuckling and all amazed. The funny thing is I didn't know any of them, I asked the first guy to do me favor, of course he said OK. Asked him to put 60% of his weight on his right side at set up and pow, he chuckled out loud, then I asked another and another, we were all amazed. I did it to make sure I wasn't hallucinating. I gave them all your name and credit. Like you I hear it from dozens of other instructors, would you like to add 10-20 even 30 yards to your drives, well duh. Well you're the only one who delivered! With just one simple tip I hit ball after ball 20 to 30 yards further and more importantly in play! I can't image what a book with a 160 pages of simple brilliance would do? Thank for this amazing aha moment.
Hands is key, i took too many lessons and lately I'm back to square one, tying to play with hands more, make golf simple and embrace the natural swing i have and not chase the swing what others has and what not. How i wished i came across to your youtube much earlier and now is already 2022...
darrell Jerry Lewis been playin golf 25 years did not score until 3 years ago when I started watching you I still watch same videos over and over and watch time I learn something new that helps me improve love it one smart guy you are thanks
Hello Darrell, I love the simple way you teach golf, and the math of it. I am A life coach and the hardest thing to do is to get someone to do what your asking of them, I am going to do what your teaching and let you know, the chipping lesson and the power point are my favorites.
Darrell I have been watching your videos for some time and I got to say I truly love them. Your teaching ways are so easy to understand. You make golf look so simple but for most of us it is not but watching your teaching instills confidence. They have helped me so much.I always look forward to watching any new videos you produce. Tanks again Charlie from Kentucky
When I was a kid I caddied a great golf course that my grandfather helped build in 1918. I learned to play by watching the good players I caddied for swing. I had what you would call a caddy swing. I couldn't wait until caddy's day on Monday to play. I played without thinking with a set of clubs that were not matched and were missing clubs. Used my hands and wrists to swing the club. I played pretty well. I gave up playing a lot in my twenties. Only played occasionally until my late thirties when I decided to play again. I was awful. I then watched a tape from Wally Armstrong. The one thing I picked up from him was how he used his hands and how he swung in a circle and how he swung in a circle. With those thoughts I played to a four handicap and I played without thinking. I made a fatal mistake about five years ago listening to a pro who try to change my swing. Lost everything and turned myself into a 13 handicap and I struggle with my game. If I couldn't chip and putt I would shoot in the high nineties. Watching some of your videos has given me hope. Would love to read your book to get all parts of the puzzle. Thanks for sharing your knowledge
I've watched countless hours of videos about technique and what makes a perfect golf swing. After watching the different videos you have posted golf is simple. I have so much more enjoyment going out and be able to shape different shots to minimize stressful shots throughout my rounds. Thanks
I have tried everything, golf schools, buying golf improvement aids and googling various golf problems trying to find the manic formula to improve my game. They sound good initially but the improvement did not last. Then I would try someone else’s technique and get good results but always fall back to my old habits. Your videos make good golf easier and simple to follow .But it seems I have been able to continue to improve using your methods. I really liked the video addressing how to hit the ground at the same spot every time. This has resulted in solid ball contact and not 1-2 inches of turf. Your method has helped me improve considerably. Thank you
I am 75, was in an auto accident, lost 30-50 yards and can't get it back. I listen to a lot of advice but I too am old school and want to just swing the golf club like I did before. Your approach is refreshing and doesn't tie me up in knots and get me to try to hold a lag or push off my feet or face the target when I would strain my back. Just swing the club and hit the ball. I am working on it and feel refreshed and look forward to playing my next shot. Keep up the good work and continue to spread the word. Regards, Mark
Darrell, I took up golf in January 2019, I am 71 years old and do not have the time to go get my swing fixed. I am pretty athletic and played baseball as a youngster. I have watched all of your videos that I could find. I like your style find them your training videos very helpful. I watch them over and over to make sure I get every detail. As a result I have two holes in one on par 3s. I know with the right grip and better basics I can score and that is what I want more than anything. My name is Charles Horton
The fact that you've made it SIMPLE!!! I dont swing like Rory or Tiger! Every coach/video/tip I've ever heard is all about how they swing. Fundamentals are vastly more important than the look of your swing. Simple, easy tactics have improved my game vastly after a 10year hiatus. THANKS DARRELL!
I hit my right collarbone through the club head at the ball and hit the best drive I've hit in ages. I don't know why and don't care as long as I can hit the ball like that. Amazing!!! Larry
Darrel, when you showed that the player hits with his hands not his arms, back, etc I think I got it! I am 89 years old with excellant health! God is Good! Will try my best to take your instructions to heart! James H Morris
I am a lady golfer and your instructions have helped me tremendously. Hitting the ground was the most important advice yet as I am now hitting more consistently and lowering my scores.
Your teaching is spot on. All i wanted to was hit the ball with your teaching of hit the same spot everytime and my practice of this method over and over i can now close my eyes and hit the ball sometimes it goes straight other times it doesn't. But i enjoy the game now more than ever. I love your videos actually just came across them about 3 months ago
Darrell I have been using your methods since I joined the inner circle a couple of years ago. What I like most is the honest sincere way you teach your methods of golf and how you get the message across. Your idea of starting with ball spin and working from that point out on the swing is amazing. I have watched and read nearly all of your inner circle monthly packages (not just once) as someone continues to tell us. It has helped me understand what is happening (not that I can always make that happen) from putting (rolling the ball, what a concept), short game, all the way up to the full swing. I don't practice enough like most amateur golfers but I do practice and mostly the short game and putting now. What a difference that has made in my game. The driver I still try to hit like a gorilla too often, but I am getting better. I am having a much more enjoyable time and I am amazed at how easy I swing and make good contact on the golf ball. I could go on and on but just want to say thank you so much for the great information and insight to shot making, ball contact, etc. Wish I had know about your information 40 years ago for the game I apparently love so much...
Hi Darrell my mate told me to watch your videos I’ve only been playing about 12months I’ve only watched a few of your videos one thing I picked up that has helped my swing don’t concentrate to much on the ball have fun and with your tips my golf has improved heaps and I’m enjoying it more thanks pete from Australia 👍
Darrell I used to shoot 83 or better. I went to the driving range and changed something and I was able to feel like I was free to hit easy and the ball was going 50 yards or more. This worked for about a month and then the magic more was gone. My wife got me a tape with jimmy Ballard and I tried to use the big muscles more that never worked for me. I have been trying to get my original swing back but I can’t. I tried your chipping of just hitting the ball like a hammer and it worked. So I what’s in your videos makes sense and there easy to try. Thanks for your ideas.
Love your stuff Darrell. Appreciate you helping others. Just came across your channel and am very impressed. Thx for giving back to the game you love. All my best Gene
hitting the ground with the club right behind the ball as you teach has helpred me more than anything,i also like what you say about curving the ball.i have learned how to controll the ball instead of it controlling me

I love golf. I am 70. I just want better contact. Then I know I will hit it farther. I have a descent swing. I would love a copy of your book. I like your simplicity.
I need to review your "Golf is an Easy Game" book. I gave mine away and I wish I had it back now. It even traveled to Brazil with when visiting our exchange student son! Thanks, From Illinois.
Darrell thank you for making the videos since I have been watching I have gotten better this past season I made 2 birdies for the first time and I reached a 400 yard par 4 in 2 and finally shot below a hundred thanks again
It’s important to me because I am inconsistent in hitting the golf ball in the direction i want along with inconsistent in hitting the ball ( I either hit it too fat or too thin
The one single caracteristic of your coaching that I find sets you apart and makes you so effective is that you basically put people in a different set of mind. This way you allow openess to different ways and means of achieving a golf swing. Moving away of one's (bad) habits requires a clear understanding of what got you to adopt them. Mind you, I wrote " coaching" and not "teaching" since your approach is to work WITH golfers, not to try to reengineer their game . This instills confidence that will generate consitency and translate into fun on the course which is what we average joes really aim at. Thanks ! Daniel, (Montreal, Canada) P.S Hockey players make for good golfers since the slap shot is so much like a golf swing.
I have watched all the videos, read most of the books, & countless others, but never improved my game much till I started to trust Darrel's Teachings. Just recently shot a 79 on a tough Golf Course. Over the Moon. 17 H'capper. thank you Darryl. You have taken me away from those dreaded swing Mechanics.
Darrell, I love your way of explaining the swing. But let me speak for a good baseball player that is now 74 years old and at 70 could still go in the fast pitch cage and hit it pretty well. I played Class B ball when I was young, and played against a guy named Mike Schmidt. One year I hit .388. I don't tell you my glory days to brag, because my next comment is not as rosy. I am a head case at golf and have been for 67 years. In those years the lowest handicap I achieved was a 10. I am currently a 22 and get happy when I shoot a 94. I have good friends my age that are in the the low 80's and high 70;s. That swing you teach I know how to do. I have swung a ball bat or a golf club that way all my life. But. I cannot make the ball go straight or be hit cleanly with any consistency. And I gave no idea how you take a full swing and hit the ball first and ground second. I can "pinch" the ball some, but then my ball just shoots out low and goes about 60 yards. I make movies here in Montrose ,California in the foothills above LA. If you can get me down into the 80's by the time I go to my annual golf trip in October, we can make a little documentary out of it and I;ll get some distribution people to get it on streaming sites and maybe even some theaters. I can hit an 80 MPH fast ball at 70 but can't hit a golf ball to save my ass. Call me, 310-497-1477.Greg
Help, I need help. Have you ever felt bound, tied up in knots. Well that’s me! You seem so free and easy. A book and your videos will give me hope.thanks. Bob Smith
Hitting to same spot consistently underlines issues. First.. I tweaked my grip being LF golfer/batter being RH'd dominant hand... meant for ME finding somewhat too weak LF position. More neutral now.. just a touch more grip pressure left thumb/hinge area.. making sure to RELAX my arm/body feel before pulling the trigger. Swing tension is my biggest issue: trying kill it-- reproduce that one/few great impacts means disaster .. book that. LEARN to hit that ground SAME.. huge. Then find the SLOT angle for your club.. PACE yourself when on the range.. the many get so wrapped in flying them sans playing the game of GOLF.. which IMO is a key to practice. DARREL IMO you place the onus on the player to THINK & LEARN vs the continuous search for the gimmick "fix". The latter really is mostly the emptying of one's wallet.................
Golfers confuse natural dispersion of shots with not being consistent. Expectations are too high foe many. At end of day it's about scoring not swinging pretty.
Can golf be that simple? They say that golf is 90% in the mind and probably the other 10% thinking about it? Your ideas does look simple, just smack the ground at the right spot as often as possible??? I've got to try it, and not to at least the thinking bit. Mike Gurney (UK)
Darrell, I'm 73 yrs old and I have been listening to all the other teachers for years. I just started watching you and you have helped me tremendously. Thanks and keep up the good work
He has long retired from all teaching and coaching sadly .

Hi Darrell, what a fantastic approach to golf coaching you have thank you for sharing 🏌️♂️⛳
hitting the ground with the club right behind the ball as you teach has helpred me more than anything,i also like what you say about curving the ball.i have learned how to controll the ball instead of it controlling me
Happy New Year Darrell,
The most basic fundamental benefits of your technique is removing most of the tension in the upper body so that the arms are free to fly. Thank you🏌🏽♂️
Hey Darrell, I enjoy your style of teaching. I just started doing your swing method only a week ago. I can see how relaxing this game should be. Its coming, but this is so good, and not near the work required for the standard?... method. I would love to have your book, to get it down. Thanks 🙏
Golf is a challenge and fun. Look forward to always improving my complete game. Current handicap is 21.
Tremendous instruction
Great info
It’s important to me because I am inconsistent in hitting the golf ball in the direction i want along with inconsistent in hitting the ball ( I either hit it too fat or too thin
Simply stated, hit the turf at the golf ball and it will go. Open a little for a fade, close a little for a draw. It works!

Bob Smith
I can smack the ground and release to the power point but when it really counts, I top the ball.
I have always been told to have a straight left arm ,when I watch your swing you have your left arm bent
Golf is an easy game but some idiot added a ball ,play without one and shoot in the sixties every time
Golfers confuse natural dispersion of shots with not being consistent.
Expectations are too high foe many.
At end of day it's about scoring not swinging pretty.
I want to have fun playing, not worry about all the BS.
Keep it in the fairways, nice contact and go!
Can golf be that simple? They say that golf is 90% in the mind and probably the other 10% thinking about it? Your ideas does look simple, just smack the ground at the right spot as often as possible??? I've got to try it, and not to at least the thinking bit. Mike Gurney (UK)
Darrell: ijust turned 90 years old, need help with lost distance
My game isn't getting better I'am getting more angry you can't control your shots when that happens
A trying to gain consistency and lose my chicken wing.
Because I won't play beta golf
