Bobby Jones’ teacher was Stewart Maiden. Maiden’s understudy was Jack Grout, who taught Nicklaus.

I tried this swing and it works Big Time! I take about the same time to hit the ball as Darrell does.

I agree with you whole heartedly about golf pro's, they all try to get everyone of different athletic ability and body shape and flexibility levels in the same professional pose that you see of Tiger and Rory etc. The simple fact is that because we are all different in those things mentioned, we can not hope to achieve that pose. As such we have to learn to play within our own capabilities and the proof positive of that is the amount of different swing types of the pro's on tour. They all play within their own capabilities to get the job done. Bottom line is do your own thing. Sure you can learn the basics from the correct shoulder turn and weight transfer but get down to your local driving range and experiment. I started playing golf at 40 and I am now 65. I had lessons from various golf pro's but ne'er got any better. I always shot between 95 and 110 or thereabouts. I now shoot low 80's regularly and if I can sort out a few putting bugs, I am sure I can break 80 regularly. So have faith and experiment with what works for you.

I understand your fades and draws. Thank you. I would like to know what you aim at when making these shorts. EX Draw do you aim at the flag or aim at something to the right.?

why would you aim at the flag and try to hit a draw??? Of course you are going to aim right. If you aim at the flag and hit a draw you are going to miss left if you actually hit the draw. Think!!!!!

Darrell, I am over 67 years old & love golf. I played better when I was in my 20's. I taught myself, but I would like to play better than what I do now. I have been watching some of your videos and you make a lot of sense. I also saw Phil Mickelson today not make the cut & heard you say he should ask for your help. I agree. He's my favorite and would hope he still has some good years. How can I start to learn from you with some get started videos. Oh, my handicap has gotten very bad now. Fred

Golf is the ultimate practice and experiment sport. Its that simple. Take what you have and experiment. Try to hit a "miss hit", fade and draw. You will figure it out over time. Practice, practice and practice some more. When you think you have it, guess what.... Its time to practice some more... Period!! I've never had lessons and I'm a scratch player.

Bobby Jones was taught, by Stewart Maiden. You know your golf but your history is off.
