Picture this: It's a Wednesday night-that day had been the very last day of school before summer vacation. A couple of my friends, my brother and I went out to eat. We spent the entire night laughing and reflecting. That year had easily been one of the worst years of my life, but some of my strongest friendships had come from it. By the time my brother and I were leaving, it was almost eleven at night. We were both dead tired. We stay silent for most of the car ride, but about halfway through, he pulls out his phone and starts playing this song. "I love this band," he says. "Sometimes I forget how much I love them, though." This song starts to play. We drive home, the ancient roads of my home town at peace. For once, the universe stops to take a breath. I didn't cry then, but looking back now, I shed a tear. I'm glad I'm gone, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss it from time to time.
Amazing story mate, loved reading every word. Memories are fucking precious, and I thouroughly enjoyed living through that one!

The chorus lets me think about my last four years as universitary student. It has been a lonely and dark period for me, i totally isolated myself on purpose and I didnt live the life i could.. free of mind. And now that I try to crawl back to the places I didnt experience, i feel like “i don t know why, i don t know why.. i return to the scenes of these crimes...”
I miss you both so much. Every time I hear this song, I am reminded of you both and the childhood I can never go back to. 🌴🏖
Usually songs where the instrumental music and the lyrics are equally great is pretty rare, but with these guys it happens a lot

I am just reading these lyrics for the first time, but I think these lines mean that he is with someone new, but she doesn't have to pretend anything is new to her. Like she doesn't have to play the innocent virgin.

This time you make sure to inform yourself of what it’s called, but with no way to really listen to the song, you slowly forget it existed.

Ever since the first time I saw the name of this song on the car radio four years ago, I hated it; thed name & the tune. I didn't know why, especially since the radio was always muted whenever it was playing. I'd never even heard this song until last month & honestly, finally hearing this sing was relieving.
