I don't understand the hate Storm II gets. Running madly around the arena slamming into everything is, to me, what Robot Wars is all about!! I'd way prefer to watch Storm II slamming into everything than see a Razer copycat moving slowly around or a robot with a disc that stops as soon as it hits another robot and doesn't actually do any damage. Much prefer Storm to Tornado as well
I guess you know this, but ICU was actually the series 3 X-Terminator machine - same family too. The brother and parents of X-Terminator's Marlon Pritchard
Yeah I agree. U could tell there was some power in that disk and if they continued improving the bot, like making the disc and drive better, then it would be a lethal competitor
Honestly, I don’t really care much for Storm II, like, when it slams into the walls at Mach 10 it’s entertaining and I give credit to the driver Ed. However I don’t know, it just looked a bit boring, just a box with six wheels.
@@TheBigAyland when i first watched the episode where ICU was first seen i saw the "Pritchard" and thought "They the family of Marlon?" and when i looked on the robot wars Wiki turned it it was!
How can you hate Storm 2? It’s so much more better than tornado. Tornado is a push bot, while storm 2 is a full ram/slam bot. I love the way it simply slams other bots to the walls. You need a good drive to handle such a bot.
Well the first heat was pretty feeble, only noticeable for bloody Killalot going off the reservation. Second heat was a bit more entertaining though, Storm 2 was a serious piece of kit, shunting everything else around, it almost drove itself into the pit but six wheel drive saved it, then Direct Action neatly pirouetted into it. Storm 2 just completely ignored Chopper's 'weapon', didn't even need a flipper to turn Chopper over. And it dealt with ICU even quicker. Really, if Storm 2 didn't break down (it didn't) or drive itself into the pit by mistake (it didn't), there was only ever going to be one winner of this heat. And if you just watched the actual fights, and skipped the pointless annoying spoilers, the blathering pontification by JP, the tedious and repeated profiles of the house thugbots as if they were actually competing, the daft interviews in the pits, and the utterly gratuitous smashing up of competitors by the house thugbots, the whole episode only takes 5 minutes to watch. Storm 2 wasn't 'boring' as blonde interviewer chick claimed, it was the rest of the foofaraw that was boring. On to the next heat.
It's a six wheeled box that accelerates like buggery and hits like a truck. Anyone who can get an opponent out the arena simply by ramming into them is not boring.

Storm 2 won the show.
At 15:12 you can see Direct Action cut into the side of Psycho's hammer, and they never bothered to fix it for the rest of the classic series.
Yeah I saw that too!
@richard29415 he dived into the pit!. From Joe. X
The box may *look* boring but it's effective.
Better to have bite than bark.
Mr Nasty.
Phillipa Forrester was definitely the best co-host of the classic series. She's adorable.
She was gunged in the 2nd series of "get your own back!". From Joe. X
Chopper's heat is incredible, enjoy everyone
Storm 2 bashed him!.

Yeah Storm II is absolutely awesome!
Storm 2's weapon is basically "what if our weapon was hitting the other robot with a truck"
Congrats Mad Dog, you barely got hit by the dropzone.
His link came loose.
ICU and X-Terminator would have been a better tag team duo than the Invertebrat/Mini Morg partners they got.
I guess you know this, but ICU was actually the series 3 X-Terminator machine - same family too. The brother and parents of X-Terminator's Marlon Pritchard
@Dominik Wilde Yeah I read something about that somewhere.
@@DoMw94 Cheers.
Chopper: Yeah we caught fire and didn't hit anything but we were still able to keep going
Mad Dog: The link fell out
Exactly.
And that official attack from Storm 2, The Ariel on top of ICU has come off, Lost all mobility. 37:20
ICU rode over Storm 2.
Robot wars is cool
I went to see it twice.
This is the second Robot Wars episode I ever watched.
2003.
I've never on robot wars seen a flywheel lose its teeth before, it's a shame as I wanted direct action to go further
Yeah I agree. U could tell there was some power in that disk and if they continued improving the bot, like making the disc and drive better, then it would be a lethal competitor
The teeth were bolted on jaws from bolt cutters. Bolt cutter teeth aren't designed to be spinning at high speeds on a flywheel! Haha!
@Sir Woolly Jumper Still did some damage to Mr. Psycho's hammer though.
Casualty trip.
Did ICU lose a drive chain after that first clash with Storm II?
that is correct
Actually, their aerial fell off.
Tyreese 259 Joyner the aerial fell off, it was at the back of ICU
After Storm 2 hit him, his aerial came lose.
5:33 countdown to the battle starts
3-2-1 activate.
Chopper... any relation to Spin Doctor from Series 2?
Similar module.
Skip the first spoiler at 1:03 and 2:14 the second.
Rubbish heat.
If Storm 2 have lifted weapon. The Producers won't hate against it in Series 7.
He used it little in the show.

New blood king.
Mad Dog and Direct Action didn't deserve to be kicked out, stupid rules
I swear ICU is just a slightly modified Series 4 X-Terminator 2.
Actually it's the Series 3 X-Terminator chassis they used. The team are actually family members of Marlon Pritchard.
@@PokeGuy6 Pritchards from Hereford? I knew that was too much of a coincidence.

Correct answer.
I wanted to see more from Revolution. Sadly those blades left me underwhelmed.
His conked out v ICU.
I always hated how they took the piss out of Storm, 100% more exciting than Razer
Blue Thunder I think it’s how defensive they get “Oh it’s not a box it’s a full body hammer” how can you not make fun of that
@@alexthehunted They only said that after an entire episode of being called boring.
@@JoshF848 no they wrote that on the application
Blue Thunder personally do think Razer was more entertaining, but I do indeed hate them taking the piss out of Storm 2. It was fun to watch either way
Yeah how the fck robot being more powerful than 3-4 other robots together can be considered boring

Yeah make it full wedge like Roadblock and wow now its innovative

To me ramming robots are boring, they just are
Improved.
I HATE boxes on wheels like storm II
You will hate my robots.
It's okay for small weight classed as it's difficult to make a light weapon but there is no excuse with heavyweights
Is razer still Alive ? I looked at this as a kid and i loved the legendary razer
And I hate bots that move slowly up and down for 5 minutes, like Razer.
Razer doesn't move up or down
It is not a flying robot
