    INGREDIENTS:
    300 GMS OF DRY SOYBEANS (SOAKED IN WATER 6-8 HOURS)
    12 CUPS OF WATER
    I USED SMALL AMOUNT FOR EACH TYPE OF COAGULANT
    2 CUPS OF SOYMILK
    1/2 TSP OF COAGULANT(EITHER GYPSUM,NIGARI AND TOFU COAGULANT)
    30ML OF HOT WATER
    NEW RECIPE USING GYPSUM POWDER TYPE
    3 CUPS OF HOT SOYMILK
    1/2 TSP OF GYPSUM POWDER/GDL/CALCIUM SULFATE
    1 TSP OF CORN STARCH
    DILUTE IN 30 ML OF HOT WATER

    Correction po. Gypsum po is calcium sulphate. Yung GDL po is glucono delta lactone. Magkaiba po sila. GDL po yung nasa round container nyo.

    Omg!!! Ive been trying to do silken tofu during the quarantine 2020.. 1st try was okay.. same result dun sa 1st powder nyo po.. kasi i have the same powder Gypsum Food Grade Calcium Sulphate .. lasang taho nga but very grainy. Then 2nd and 3rd try was a fail. 4th try was just like the 1st trial. Then i got tired of trying kasi nasasayangan ako dun sa mga failed attempts ko haha. Didnt know we could do hard tofu out of the failed ones. Thank you so much for this!! Will definitely try the Gypsum with Cornstarch 🥰

    Ang galing nmn kaka inspired. Gunawa ako ng taho using store bought unsweetend soy milk with gypsum coagulant kaso d cya nabuo at ang grainy pero mkakain nmn cya. Haha. Do you think dpt Kong I try ang new recipe n my cornstach and gypsum? Bka sakaling mabubuo cya at d grainy?

    Yung sa Calcium Sulfate at Cornstarch:
    2 tsp. of Calcium Sulfate
    1 tsp. of Cornstarch
    this is good for 1 liter of soy milk (4cups)

      I know na hustle masyado pag from scratch, when I started making taho like 7 years ago nag cheat ako, instead of making it from scratch ginamit ko store bought soy milk, pero no matter how i tried to change the recipe ayaw pa rin mabuo. Ang conclusion ko is store b ought milk kasi iba ang measurement nila sa pag gamit ng water it could be kulang sa strength ng milk or maybe pasteurized na yung milk, pero kung makakabili ka ng fresh talaga na soy milk na hindi pasteurized maybe mabubuo. If not naman you may use unflavored gelatin using store bought soy milk. Thanks, for watching my video.

    So grind 300gms of soy beans in 12 cups of water? How many cups of soy milk does it yield afterwards? Thanks!

      okeedokeepokee yes, it will be the same yield or more but you only need 12 cups . But remember I come up with 12 cups and used some of it for making samples for the different types of coagulant. If this is your first time making taho , try not to use it all at once. Start with 2 cups of soy milk , just the way I make it so that just in case you fail on your first try it won’t be wasted because you only use 2 cups.

      Hello adding too much coagulant will give your taho unpleasant taste, mapakla and papait kaya avoid adding too much.

      @@reycatindoy7202 depende kc yun sa type ng coagulant , sa 1 liter kc merong at least 4 cups so you can use 1/2 tsp per liter pero nag va vary yun.

      they're both taste the same even though i used 2.5 liters of water sa 500 gms of soy beans which is equivalent to 10.5 cups only ,the strength will of course much stronger. Even though I used the same amount of water sa 300 gms lang ng soybeans, taste for me is still the same. As per experience, you need to adjust the water sometimes para malaman mo kung pwede rin mag work kung pinalitan mo ng amt of water. What matter is ,you will be able to find different ways to make your taho works. You have to play around sometimes para makita natin kung pwede rin ba yun or not. But honestly they're both fine with me sa taste, taho pa rin lasa. THANKS,🙂

      you have to use fresh soymilk without any flavor, you can't use pasteurized . Na try ko na before ang pre-made when first started para mapadali but nag fe fail. It's because store bought soymilk are mostly pasteurized. pero kung makakabili ka ng soy milk na fresh sa market na talagang fresh much better. But you can also use store bought kung gelatin ang gagamitin mo.

      Iba-iba ang process sa pag gawa ng taho, most especially pag homemade. Unlike sa pa gawaan they used machine para mapadali ang production. Katulad sa pag luluto, we all have different style of cooking, and we cannot compare the process pag homemade and sa mismong pagawaan. What matter is yung maging successful sa pag gawa ng isang product. Thanks for watching and God bless.

      Hi Melanie , I tried it when I first started pero nag failed, maybe because yung store bought soy milk pasteurized na. You can use that milk if you're going to use gelatin, cgurado mabubuo. But you can't make TAHO pag store bought ang gagamitin mo, based lang yun sa experienced ko. Thanks.

      Hi, kung walang coagulant you can use unflavored gelatin ang gagamitin mong liquid soy milk, kahit store bought soy milk. The only difference is hindi mo pwede kainin ng warm kc pag Ininit mo matutunaw. Or you can buy super soft silken tofu sa Asian market, I have a video how yo make that, just watch the video if you like 😊. Thanks!

      Hi yung rice cooker ba kamo ang pag lalagyan mo? ok lang yun kung doon lang ilalagay. Sa measurement namn ng Calcium sulfate, ano bang recipe ang gagamitin mo yung may halong cornstarch? if that so, i would suggest na mag umpisa ka muna sa maliit na amount, like i've said iba-iba ang coagulant but if you're using exact brand ng gamit ko, multiply mo lang yun amt ng CS sa cups.

      they are both coagulant and both chemicals, always look for a food grade harmless coagulant when making tofu or silken tofu/taho.
      Gypsum is a calcium sulfate and this is rich in calcium and it naturally occurring mineral that coagulates soy milk for tofu or taho. While , GDL is short for Glucono Delta Lactone, food additive used as for curing, pickling and an acidifier, This is commonly used for making silken tofu.

      Meron po dyan sa pinas , sabihin mo lang gypsum powder or calcium sulfate, Pero The recipe will change since na hindi yan yang brand na gamit ko. You can ask sa bilihan ng mga soybeans sa market.

      Hi I don’t really know why, but I always use Soy America and never a time na hindi nabuo ang taho, I always have a nice texture like a real taho. It could be May mali sa pag process ng soy milk or May problema sa gypsum powder na ginamit or sa soybeans itself. I’m sorry to here that, just keep on trying and make some adjustments. Thanks 🙏

      @@boykalawits62 make sure lahat ng utensils na gamit mo malinis.. kapag may nahalong acid or anything na maasim dun sa soymilk mamumuo yung proteins, curds na yon.. parang sa paggawa ng keso..

      hi pwede rin naman kung masyado mainit ang weather, pero kung hindi nman masyado mainit pwede na sa counter table and palitan mo ng water after 4 hrs.

      yes maasim yung tofu coagulant na GDL sometimes , i noticed that everytime na mag order ako with the same brand umaasim, unlike before yung mga taho na ginagawa ko hindi maasim using GDL, but yung gypsum powder hindi maasim.

      @@mrodriguez1570 so if runny you have to add a little more, i don't know exactly kung anong ingredients ang ginamit mo , yung last one ba? Honestly, based on my experience depende sa brand ng coagulants. I've tried different types of coagulant, and I myself had failed a lot of times even though i followed the same procedure, and same ingredients. You just have to play around, it could work for me and sa iba hindi dahil cguro we did something na hindi accurate . Pwedeng weak ang soya milk mo, pwedeng yung the type of soybean is not the same, the water might affect too, the temperature and how you combine the soy milk into the coagulant. As I have said ang daming types of coagulants, There is GDL which is Gluco Delta Lactone, ang texture nito is very fine and silky but the taste is a little bit sour, next is Calcium Sulfate which is a Gypsum powder , it has a pleasant taste of real taho pero pag sumobra a little bit mapakla, so kailangan exact amount. Then the Nigiri, ang nigiri is mapait and epson salt which is i never tried. I conclude that every brand is different, that's why i have to come up with the mixture of cornstarch and gypsum powder, i learned that from a Chinese friend. So if I were you, try to play around with the mixture, if you think it's runny maybe next time you make, add a little more of the coagulant and make sure you have the right measurement. I hope you will succeed , don't throw if you fail just make a tokwa out of it . God Bless!

      I used gypsum . The taste was so yummy but the firmness was a failure.
