This arrangement, by Michael Kamuf, reinforces syncopated rhythms and has transcribed Laufey's scat-singing solo written for violin. Your students and audiences will be singing the melodies!

Honestly, I think it sounds fine with 1st violin dependency. Although maybe directors can arrange it so that Violin 1 and Violin 2 alternate between sections

For the solo, at bar 43 (first violinist), the and of beat 4 should be an F#.

It definitely could be but this is arranged for a student string orchestra so they are most likely keeping it simple for that reason

i can third that, also the bass is supposed to be a dotted quarter, eight, dotted quarter, eight, not 2 half notes 😔, but it doest matter that much, im just a really big jazz enthusiast. the arrangement at all this is amazing
