I'm primarily a metal head. Love all things fast, loud and aggressive but I'm pretty sure this is my favorite song ever. It's just so musically pleasing and relaxing.
I first heard this version in 1996 when a girlfriend I had gave me her CD copy of this as it reminded her of me. I played it over and over again that night.
I've just discovered this song and I'm speechless of how beautiful the music is. Along with this, I've discovered this song in such a low point of my life which includes not being able to share this song to that person that I wanted give my heart to, just another unrequited love. And gosh it hurts so bad but can't stop listening on a loop. Great great stuff! 😢

Definitely one of the most sumptuously gorgeous cover versions - by any band - of all time. Never got the kudos or recognition it clearly deserved. If it was given more airplay at the time it would have been a much much bigger hit than it ended up being [72 in the charts - their only 'hit']. Video is a hoot in typical Pale Saints fashion of course. Plus....the chiming guitar and drums are so Smiths-like it's untrue. ;)

I bought it when it came out. It wasn't a hit , a niche single from a niche but great band. At the time I thought it a bit old fashioned, I liked it
