Incredible song. I'm discovering Lush songs this week and i'm completely in love with their sound. And this song is truly special, on the very first second you are already surrended to it.
A feeling of nostalgia and melancholy so strong. That guitar melody loaded with all those effects hits so hard.
And the chord changes are so well done in their songs. A good chord progression is everything on a good song.

One thing I admire greatly is the utilization of the bass to "change" chords, or at least give a somewhat different feeling to the progression even if the guitars' chords haven't changed. It gives a whole new angle to the tension and release you hear people in the know talk about in songwriting. And I don't think I've heard another band do it, or at the very least do it like Lush.

It actually was quite easy to discover good music. I found this band on MTV's 120 Minutes in the early '90's. The difference was you had to buy the album upon seeing the video , but it was OK Yet If you look at the number of views here, you are still one of the few people who know about Lush. It's available but the audience still overwhelmingly consists of old fans, the youth seems to be lost for this wonderful culture.

I had MTV but never saw this or anything by Lush.😭 It's unfair because, if you're not watching all day, you're bound to miss something. And that something might take you half of your life to finally discover.

For Split IN St Louis in 1994 they had Weezer open 4 them (1st album & NOBODY thought they'd b AS famous as they are now (especially after Pinkerton) and, I'M NOT MAKING THIS UP, When lush started the show A MOSH BROKE OUT😮😳😮😳 I'm NOT F'ing kidding either that lasted most of the show & like two fights broke up the first ten minutes...

This has always been a beautiful slow song. You don't have to think , there's no angst , no drama , just a cool organic wind that blows and changes direction so slight that it goes in noticed.
Awesome driving music , and perfect in the background when you're painting a picture like in my case. Gets better with time
and lives in its own perfect simplicity.

I was born in 1973, also. I think Lush's "For Love" was the first shoegaze music I'd ever heard. I think it was either late 1991 or early 1992, but the song came on late at night, and I fell in love with it instantly. After that, I heard Ride's "Leave them all behind" and then I'd heard Catherine Wheel and so many other greats.

enjoy this exceptional video showing them sharing some good times with each other and showing their fun side which reflected in the buoyancy underneath the heavy riff of a song like this.
