Am working on a scroll compressor that most tech that check unit sed that compressor burn but when I check compressor is working but meaking a lot of noise already have a new one seem like it wos running with out oil foun out that unit have a refrigerant leak from the high side of the unit
U tink that can cause unit to stop suction or the discharge pressure from moving up or down

My outdoor unit will run for about two minutes, blowing cold air, then there is a loud noise at the condenser that sounds like a car engine throwing a rod. Lol. Then the whole unit shuts down. Is this an indication of high compression ratio?

Compression Ratio = Absolute discharge / Absolute suction. This tells you many things on how the system is working.

Is it going to tell you if it just failed? Like you know... everything eventually does. Like...not built to last? Poor manufacturing? Stuff like that
