      Parking anywhere else but downtown is great. But parking downtown is not! Street parking is cheaper for sure in the downtown area but is definitely limited. We would 100% recommend downloading the premier parking app. It has a good count of what lots of theirs are full/empty and you can pay for parking right in the app

      @@XPLRNASH Premier Parking is rather expensive. The best thing to do if you're going downtown is to take an Uber or park in some of the garages on the outside of the town and walk. Otherwise you can spend up to $30 per parking, which sometimes goes up after only 1-2 hours! Try the LAZ Parking garage one street over from the Metro courthouse. It's 5 bucks flat!

    They weren't hidden to locals and we liked it that way. I mean no offense - we love tourists and welcome all, but with all due respect we can't sustain newbies moving in to our city by the herds as they have been. It's destroying our culture and has turned it into nothing but hipsters and northerners who are ok with moving generations of natives out of their homes they've had for decades, so they can be torn down and turned in to tiny stack-n-packs or high rises they can no longer afford. To make matters worse, we used to be a city of God fearing, family loving, Jesus loving people of manners and sharing. Not anymore. Now you're lucky to be let over into the next lane on the roads, have the door held by the person before you, especially for elders and women, and be greeted with the same smiles and waves as you walk or drive by your neighbors. Nashville is not the same place myself and past generations have known. It's sad and sickening to say the least.

      Hi Ashley
      Is there any specific reason why Nashville is so popular? Nashville has always been the home of country music, so why is it booming as of late?

    • @southernmama7606
      @southernmama7606 3 года назад

      @@jessicacarson8204 honestly, I have no idea. From what I gather, as country becomes more pop and less country, younger generations are beginning to be more into it. There is a lot of opportunity here for way more than just the country music though. But from what I've heard, many people move here for the lower taxes and cost of living, not realizing that the low cost of living in Nashville is rising more by the day. So ultimately all that is happening is more crowding for more money.

    • @southernmama7606

      @@XPLRNASH yes, I can see the good in it. I know my comment came off very harshly but I mustve been having a bad day when I left it. That is no excuse though. It was rude and out of line so I do apologize. There has been a lot of positive things come out of the growth, but I'm sad to lose our southern values to the extent at which we're losing them.
