You could try the singaporean breakfast - some kaya butter toast, half boiled eggs in soy sauce, coffee or tea. Great that you caught the local ice cream uncle. Its quite the memory for a lot of singaporean children since theyre the most active at after school hours.

As a local, I love ice creams by these mobile stalls. I always go for the ice cream sandwich.
Went to Singapore at least 10 times before because my wife love this little country for shopping. Before anyone go to Singapore, they should read the history first to understand more. Best is to read who is Lee Kuan Yew.
When you were crossing the Cavenagh Bridge, you pointed out to the skyscrapers in the distance saying none of that would have been there in 1859. That area wouldn't be rice fields, they would be the sea. You'll be fascinated to know that the whole Marina Bay area is all reclaimed land. The original coastline is where the Fullerton Hotel and Elgin Bridge (first bridge you came across) is. Here is the real story behind the reclamation of the whole Marina Bay area. In the 70s, Singapore's biggest challenges were: 1. The small land space to accommodate a growing city of a 3 million people (back then) 2. The frequent flooding at parts of the island due to tropical storms 3. The lack of water sources for a tiny island without glaciers, lakes, springs 4. The biggest problem was the frequent threats from Malaysia to cut off our water supply because we had to import most of our raw water from them. So we were forced to think out-of-the-box to become self-sufficient in terms of water. Imagine a relatively straight coastline in its original form. Singapore decided to create an artificial reservoir by reclaiming land in the shape of 2 arms reaching out to sea, to be joined by a dam. What used to be part of the sea is now a fully enclosed reservoir. Whenever it rains in Singapore, every drop that falls on the island (on roads, buildings, parks) is preciously channelled through its system of open and underground drains into the rivers and reservoirs. In other words, as long as there's rain, there will be water in the reservoirs. Over time, the seawater reservoir at Marina Bay gets transforms into a freshwater lake because it keeps getting fed by rain. It's just like pouring rain into a cup of brine, it pretty much desalinates itself and becomes pure rain water eventually. The construction of the dam was intended to help us prevent floods on the island. We can't stop tropical storms from pouring large volumes of rain all over the city in a very short time, but we can quickly channel the water into the reservoirs through the system of drains and rivers as long as the water level of reservoir is low. And because the water pumps at the dam (Marina Barrage) work hard to pump water out to the sea, the reservoir will never overflow and so the city will never flood. That is the real story behind the Marina Bay area. It's a matter of national security because we are preparing ourselves for the day Malaysia stops supplying water to us for good. Otherwise, Singaporeans wouldn't last a month without water.
Fun facts Fort Canning used to be called Bukit Larangan in the native tongue of Malay. Which means forbidden hill. That hill was the battle ground way before Singapura/ Singapore was colonised by the British. I love heading to Fort Canning

Go to the Singapore Botanical Garden, it is one of the most beautiful garden, UNESCO heritage site , near orchard road , and it is free of charge .
The Gardens is the first UNESCO Heritage Site in Singapore
The Gardens has been inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2015. The Gardens is the first and only tropical botanic garden on the UNESCO’s World Heritage List. Today, the Gardens is an important botanical institute
We used to have those ice cream vendors ride around neighborhoods and you can hear them ringing the bells as they pass your block. Then its the frantic scramble to get down for some ice-cream
Awesome fun family vlog gd job!
Thanks so much!
GOOD INTERACTION BETWEEN FATHER SONS AND DAUGHTER . NICE PRACTICE FOR THEM LEARNING EARLY IN LIFE❤
technically, if you were able to scan your card for payments, you can likewise use the card for the bus ride, but only for 1 person. it helps if you can either get the tourist pass or armed yourself with some coins to pay onboard the bus.
The spiral staircase was one of the most instagrammed spot in the world awhile back.
U have to shoot from ground up to the sky in wide angle mode.
It’s a very pretty spot.
Nice Singapore... stay safe guys..
Thanks, Ms. Beth!
awww my first video from your channel. Such a lovely family and you guys have such a positive vibe all around. Very well behaved kids! Enjoy your time in Singapore its definitely the switzerland of Asia as they say (except the Humidity ofc haha). Hope you have a great time!
Love how you always ask for your kids' opinion and allow them to share their thoughts! ◡̈
Brown sugar fresh milk. Girl knows her stuff 😂 You can tap your credit card on the reader found on all public buses. Just remember to tap out too. Credit card taps work for the MRT train too 😂
The camera is good quality tho didn’t expect a go pro to look this good! Hope you enjoyed your stay in Singapore 😃
Thanks! 😃
Haha definitely a great video. 😂 amazing to see the kids push through walking such long distances!
The family including the 3 kids had trekked the Himalayas before. You can search their past videos.
@@saifuddinamin9730 oh my! Amazing family
What awesome kids you have, espacially little Forest, walking all the way with no complain 🥰👍👏👏👏👏
To navigate by bus or train in Singapore, suggest to get the prepaid card at any MRT station customer service counter. There will be serve service kiosk at the station to top up. When taking the bus, tap the card at entrance and tap out at the exit when alighting.
Thank you so much for the help!
@@BagsPackedFamily you can tap in the bus or MRT with any Visa or Mastercard you use to pay for stuff. You don't have to buy the prepaid ones for transportation.
@@diegochan87 just to add, if you have google pay or apple pay on your mobile with NFC linked to your credit cards, it works too.
We can actually use any credit cards with the pay wave function for buses and trains.
Yr positivity is juz infectious 😊
Thank you so much 😀
Awesome video! Thanks for showing around different parts of Singapore!
Glad you enjoyed it!
oh wow..super impress with how you guys actually walked from orchard to merlion! Great vlog and love your kids!
Gosh! I've been following all your travels, and all of a sudden, you are a few hundred yards from my apartment, in the building where I get my haircut, and where my branch of the public library system is! Welcome to Singapore, folks!
Forest was on fire like some body Stop Me 😂😂😂 stay blessed dear ❤️
I miss singapore. the fined country. walkable distance everywhere wohooo
It's such a beautiful country!
30:20 That's shades like 🌞 BTW nice video ❤️
You can actually tap your credit/debit cards directly for all public transport in Singapore~ charges directly to your bank. You could probably grab and top-up ez-link cards at the convenience stores for the kids to use!
You can use cash for the bus fare. But the downside is that there is no change back. So, either you pay the exact amount or tell the bus captain to keep the change.
Thanks for the info!
Such a wonderful video log of your wall through the modern and historical part of Singapore. Your kids are incredible walkers and so adventurous in spite of the heat and humidity
You can use your credit card as payment on the public transport - mrt and bus!
Do visit SG connecting parks. You can cycle. Try Palau Ubin. Hit the local neighbourhoods for great and cheap hawker food.
Oh you guys walked one big round but it was good to see you all explore the civic district!
Little Forest is really excited the whole time.
I think he loves Singapore!
Forest walking so far behind and trying to catch up is a bit funny cause no Asian parents are going to do that. Learning a lot of parenting stuff from you, guys. Thanks!
Thank you so much!
Forest is my hero .. god bless him
Try bugis street where there are cheap stuff to buy n good food at the nearby hwaker centre, food is around sgd4 to sgd5 n there are many choices , indian, malay, chinese, western food. Or take the mrt to chinatown to see the pagoda temple, walk over to maxwell road food centre across the temple for hawker food
I love these videos 🤩!!! Beautiful!!! What a beautiful family. I loved Jonathan's interaction with his daughter Cedar. Beautiful father - daughter combo 🤩!!! Want to see more Jonathan - Cedar videos together!!! Cedar obviously loves and wants her dad's attention. Forrest obviously gets all the attention because he's the youngest (happens in all families throughout all families often throughout the world) though 🤩🤣
Little (and even grown up) girls love their fathers 🤩🤩 I always see Cedar wants Jonathan's attention subtly and Kelly is a great wife and mother. And Jonathan - you're a great father and husband.
Tip! If you have Apple Pay (or android-equivalent) you can actually use your phone to tap in and out of public transport. No need to get a EZ-Link card ;) or as others have mentioned, you can use your credit card. Thanks for helping us see Singapore from your eyes 😊
Marche is not just a bakery. It's a full restaurant. Sort of like a Piccadilly.
What a great family. And what a interesting and enjoyable walk through the city....
Happy new year to you and your family! I love the little man, he's adorable!
I am pleased that you came to visit my country. Honestly, even I as a local havent been to some of those places too!
Great vlog and hope you had a great time! Come again soon!
Forrest is hilarious. Come back soon. Merry Xmas
you dont have to use prepaid card to use public transportation, you can use contactless credit / debit card
