Forest cracking the egg is soooo cute ❤ Kelly’s Indonesian pronunciation is perfect! And you were right about clam satay! It was a popular treat in Medan.
I'm an Indonesian, used to live in Jakarta, now living in Florida, being jealous at you and your family. Love your kids' names. We have Arrow (10yo) and Rain (6yo).
Really nice video. Each time you make a video it's just so good. Thr best part is your whole family is involved and makes it so much better. Forest as usual he's the star in the video. 😁 Cedar talks very smartly and Granite seems to be a mature boy. Maybe it's because they have been travelling and have explored many things in life. It's just so great to see them grow. Really fantastic.. I hope you will keep on doing videos and we can all see how they are growing as time passes. Really amazing and fantastic.. always love following your videos brother.
Thank you so much Jam Rock! We are excitedly planing our winter trips, and they should be a lot of fun. You are right, we both notice the kids coming into their own. It's great seeing them grow. How did you like the longer format of this video? We're experimenting, and would love your feedback.
@@BagsPackedFamily I definitely love this longer versions so much and I can have snacks while watching this longer versions I really love it so much. It's really good and worth it. In the mean time you can also do some short vlogs probably before you upload the longer version so this way when viewers see thr short version then we will be so excited and curious to watch the longer version. I would suggest you to just upload maybe 1 short video so viewers will be so curious and wait to see the longer version of it. Surely it will be so exciting to see the longer version since we have a glimpse of your shorts.
Actually indomi is from Indonesia itself. I also have it in Malaysia too. Just that I think the Bangladesh person so happen to work there and learnt how to make that indomi dish. But the indomi is an Indonesian thing. It famous almost everywhere..even when I lived in Jakarta they had it almost everywhere at the roadside stalls
Haha yes as a Bangladeshi expat living in Singapore, can confirm that. Lot of Bangladeshis work in Malaysia and Singapore and less so in Indonesia. He happens to be working there and prolly have learnt the cooking skills along the way.

Yes warkop is "warung kopi" or cafe or coffe house. Kelly was right. Normally they sell indomie and fried eggs with rice and some snacks as complimentary.
Sugarcane juice with a bit of ginger juice and lime is yummy of course it needs to be chilled. First time I tried Avocado Milkshake it was in Bali. Didn't know what to expect, normally I love Guac with my chips and Mexican food. I was blown away how good it was.

I'm interested in trying charcoal coffee, known in Indonesia as kopi (“coffee”) joss. Its name comes from the sizzling sound a burning lump of charcoal makes upon hitting the liquid. Some say the bubbling beverage tastes like regular coffee, while others describe a distinct caramel-y, burnt sugar taste.
Medan is a food-haven city. There are many options of foods; batak food, chinese food, indonesian food, foods from aceh, indian and padang. For batak food you should try iga bakar, and saksang. For chinese foods, you should try chow mein, fried kwetiau, chinese fried rice. Mie Aceh, nasi goreng kambing, sate padang, pecal (indonesian salad with peanut sauce) and Mie Rebus are also really good. In Medan, you guys must try Soto Medan, Kepiting lada hitam, kepiting saus padang. Chinese Spring rolls at Yos Serizal street is also quite good. Oh, there are also many vegan and vegetarian restaurants you can try. They are all pretty good. Just google them. Oh, you guys should also try bika ambon.
