Ok, maybe I'm just a noob, but can someone explain to me what happened on 0:55?
It looks like Marisa missed and ended up behind Zangief, but Zangief connected the throw even though he was facing the wrong way, casing Marisa's body to float right before the animation of the throw, which caused a sideswitch, putting Marisa to the same position she was right after the jump.
That's... confusing, but if it's something that can happen it's pretty cool
Gief is the comeback and life lead master. Be cool go see when daigo actually learns something unique wuth him so I can learn something. Almost makes me wanna play 6 tho.

I've always had a theory that big characters that are slow and hit hard don't actually need combos, in fact it can hurt them. Is the damage reduction due to combos really worth it or could someone just get really good with punishing and do max damage with every shot? Glad to see someone a ton better than me putting this playstyle to the test.

@@FGreplays923 Zangief is easily his own exception thanks to SPD on tap making a frame trap on Blocked hits terrifying to go for unlike Marissa whose most rewarding single move is her Pankration Command Grab which is purely based on a read. 😂

I love SF 6 but Gief maybe the reason I won’t buy it. I’m cool with him getting stronger, but his kit is pretty OP. Even bursting him down is null after 3 spinning pile drivers.
Nah, he isn't op, there is a lot of ways to punish counter him. Command grabs are predictable in most players (i mean, Daigo is #1 so he is clearly different, not a measure for average Gief)

There is nothing OP about Gief. You have to work hard for what you get. You can be zoned easier than most, getting out the corner is extremely difficult. He has very little Oki and corner carry compared to pretty much the entire cast. He has no invincible reversal outside of his level 3, and you'll often find people don't instantly pressure when you finally build it. I implore you buy it, try him, and see for yourself that he's on the lower side of power level. Getting these grabs on people who are doing everything they can to avoid that exact move is no easy feat. He is however, incredibly fun!
Gief is good but by now means OP.. He can end a match in the least amount of interactions, but his reads need to be on point for that to happen.

His grab damage means nothing if people keep their distance from you and predict when you go for grabs. If you can't keep them guessing with good usage of normal attacks, you're not landing those grabs, not against people who know not to approach a knocked down Gief anyway.
