agreed with Tim... not sure if you changed cameras but video quality is amazing. I've been eye'ing those wingtips ever since Jason unboxed them. They are beautiful for sure!
Thanks Glenn! I did get a new GoPro8 from Santa 😉 and our 5 year old iPhones finally got an upgrade. Glad you like the quality! And these are actually a different model than Jason’s - he got the wingtips (flat) and these are the winglets (flared up at the ends). In fact I think we’re only the 8th people to receive these new winglets - pretty sure Damien said ours was in the 2nd batch to arrive and they get them in batches of 4. I don’t know all the differences between the two besides the shape. I know there are different lights at the front. But both sure do look nice 😉
@@PlaneLady ahhh, yes... and I love the winglets!! I can't talk about increased control of winglets (because I just don't know) but they look insanely cool haha!
@@glennrudolph9867 Lol! I know there are different lights in the front of both of them (there is a very visible difference to the shape/size of the lights used), but I couldn't find anything on their website outlining the difference between those lights.
I just got mine in this week also, very excited! Let me know what they say about the wedge b/c I’ve got no clue on those either. Thanks for the heads up about the military discount. I didn’t know they did that so I’ll have to contact Damien tomorrow and ask if he’ll give the discount retroactively. I also got the rear baffle installed in one tank so only one more to go.
I’ll let you know when I reach out to figure out what the 2 wedges are for. A single page insert would have been awesome. Also told them it would be great if they provided buyers with a list of what parts to ask Van’s to remove from our wing kits. Damien said he thought Van’s sent us a single pre-assembled piece like Aveo does so they weren’t aware we had to remove more than one part from our order. Still excited because they look great! Hopefully they’ll hook you up retroactively for the discount. Apparently the owner was a naval aviator.
From the video it sounded like these wing tips come with integrated LED lights, is that correct and did you then not order the lights from Van's as part of the Wing Kit?
The shipping label says it came from Florida. Not the best impression to see that box/packing when you drop that kind of $$$ but at least the winglets both look to be just fine (and awesome!)
Mine arrived, too, and the packaging was just as bad. The box so soft it came apart, just held together by Saran Wrap. The padding material was "soft trash", probably old packaging from incoming shipments to them. But nothing damaged inside and all lights work. Aveo is in the Czech Republic. I had one pair of the wedges (to close out the ziptips at their trailing edge where there is no more wing but the ailerons).
I saw these years ago when I was first interested in building a 7A....can't wait to see them installed and working on an RV!

Do you notice any difference in terms of RANGE or Efficiency? Or handling?

Yes, the lights are already integrated in the wing tips. We did not order any wingtips or wingtip lights from Van's
Swish tips guys ;)
That shipping box looks absolutely terrible. Where did it ship from?

Why do they have the flair on the trailing sids?
winglets are supposed to reduce induced drag by altering the flow of the vortices. I wonder how much effect they would have on an RV
Где это купить? Можно узнать ссылку на сайт?
It's called ZipTips Premiere Winglets and it is on the Aveo Engineering website 😊
@@PlaneLady Спасибо большое. Найду
I don't know... Super sketch about this company after seeing the packaging and what not. Might look around if they don't turn out well
