@zpolt Thanks for those comparisons and tests! I would have loved to hear the part at 4:06 on both IEMs, because of the nice deep bass line, the guitar solo sound and the cymbal bell. Very nice part to compare musical IEMs. I'll take a comment i just posted on your video "ULTIMATE CHIFI SOUND TEST!" to explain, what i would prefer to listen to while comparing devices :)
"I really like those blind tests and those kind of comparisons. But imo it makes really only sense to play the exact same part of the music on all devices, as you did one time above. When the song and or song parts change while going through the chain of IEMs, that makes no sense to me. I'm a professional musician myself and when i go shopping here in Germany i compare devices always with the same part of different songs and different genres, as that's what vendors at hifi stores, my teachers and colleagues are doing. E.g. at 3:33 the song changes completely into a thick wall with some distortion etc. This should be compared on all devices. Also the samba piece at the end should be compared on all devices, if you choose to play it. Keep it coming. I really like your channel! Thank You :*)"
CCA CA16 is More Bassy but it strangles the Background sounds while giving the bass.
Ba 5 is Compared More lively sound stages Ba 5 is have More lively sound stages And Ba5 is have more balanced for CCA CA16.
My Think is Trn better than CCA.
But My Advice is ZSN Pro Because More Cheap.
I like both, so bought these 2 fantastic IEMs

From all the reviews of the CA16 I've seen I'm getting the impression they took the C12 and eliminated all the problems. Increased bass, toned down the upper mids, more detail and resolution and more comfortable. Definitely my next buy.

I am a casual listener of music. For a long time I did not know about IEM headphones. For a very long time I did not know which ones to buy. I bought "ZSN PRO" at your recommendation and was amazed at the quality (for the money). I bought these headphones for my family and girlfriend. I also bought an TRN BT20S adapter for them and have been very pleased for a year now! Before for five years I tried to find true wireless headphones with good sound and did not know what to do. Now I'm waiting for the OPERAFACTORY OM1 and I hope to enjoy the wonderful bass. Thank you for your recommendations from a fan from Russia! your advice made my life brighter

Whoa, this is difficult. I think, this one is more to a stage sound comparison. As for the SQ, both are having the same level.
Thats interesting, what dac/amp are you using? I have the CCA Ca16 It sounds different on my LG V50, similar presentation but everything is kind of scaled up. On my pc, I'm using a mayflower mod Fostex T50rp with Topping DX3 pro and smsl sp200 to compare. I think you should try playing it on something other than an iphone, well to put it nicely...because iphones are garbage for music.

With the sound test. I prefer the warmth of of BA5. However. I'm on the lookout for Classical music IEM. So more analytical, wider soundstage. What do you guys recc?? I already have Legacy 3 (too initmate like my 6xx), and Starfields (kinda rolled off highs, slightly veiled). VK4 is not bad but lacks details, well cos $12... So Classical IEMS??
This gives me chills. They both good. CCA16 you could feel the vibes of the instruments and you could really feel the music. BA5 was the best too super clear and it will gives you wide range I mean soundstage. But what is the most important to me is who has the stronger spirit that would make me attach easily to what I am listening to.
Have you ever think of making diy custom molded iem? Soldering and molding stuff. I would love to see you do that lol
Noticed you took down the Starfield vs Tin T4 sound test. You doing a retest of those? Anyway, for this video's comparison I actually quite like both iems. The CA16 sounds pretty clean, quite wide, and fairly balanced, though it sounds a bit v-shaped. BA5 a sounds cleaner and more intimate than the CA16 due to its more even tuning. I like both for different reasons, and wouldn't mind having either.

I listened to this using a cheap headset and found out that b sounds better for me. I guess i made the right choice then.
They were close but for me the snear drum is thin with the CCA CA16. The BA5 has my vote!

Man, I really respect what you do for us. Consider adding to the playback queue the sound of the original tracks, without a binaural head. So users will have the opportunity to choose the sound closest to the reference on the go. Think about it. Thank you for your work.
They're definitely both cool and dry but the CA16 has a good "wet" quality given by a more tight and bodied slam of bass, less bleeding warmth. The BA5 sounds kinda metallic, but much livelier. The CA16 sounds like a non fatiguing listen, with more natural highs and mids timbre. I'd probably prefer CA16 if i prioritise natural timbre and non fatiguing listen or the BA5 if you like it more energetic and lively sounding.

i recently got the CA16 hoping it would be taking the ba5 out of the top but unfortunately the ba5 still wins. Even more o now that i have modified the BA5 by removing the filter which made it a lot punchier, sound stage wider, no more moisture issues, and more treble which i prefer which made it more crystal clear. The clarity made a whole lot of difference for the BA5 but i prefer the bass of the CA16. The deal breaker for me for the BA5 is the whole lot of quality issues i had and how easy the finish got damaged from metal to metal contact. There's something loose on the right ear plug as well sometimes making light rattling noises. Unfortunately i might stick with the BA5
Me too.. i ve experience some quality issues with my ba5... One of the pair seem to have low volume than the other pair as i listen for more than 1 hour..

@@cjdeal3317 actually it's just the cloth filter clogging up with humidity/moisture. Using the sharp end of a cutter, i remover the metal screen on both the left and right and the separation and k8ck became noticeably better while it can be a bit sibilant in very rare cases, i suggest you try doing it too.
How do you clean your iem ?
Ca16 for casual listening and more focus on the vocals. TRN BA5 for bass, instruments & clear listening. For lighter listen i go to Ca16.

cca 16 has significantly wider soundstage but the bass is not as deep as trn BA5. the mid in cca 16 is much more sweeter and natural. However, the imaging in BA5 is better, it flows around my head through my neck while cca16 is wider horizontally. im using akg q701 which is a reference headphone to write the most comprehensive review
Both IEM cca ca16 & trn ba5 sound great for it's class under $60
this is best way to compare earphone, i just wish you could test with different music because 2 of these song sound almost the same,
try ambient music like "nto - time / La Clé Des Champs" for example to test the soundstage,
and any high quality recorded guitar acoustic song to test the clarity,
or just anything with different type of sound.

Why iphone is source? Someday tried Klipsch x10i with iphone 5c and they sounded awful, while iphone sound really good with some other headphones, like igrado, and x10i sound also just awesome with better source

Ok. Noticed ba5 sound much more clear and cca is deaf listen through the phone, but listen in iem just multiplies the result on - 1. Maybe phone not provide brightness of cca because its too high, this can play a trick on anyone who picks up the headphone via phone

@@ml14r9 mids are sweet and thick. Almost DD like mids. Female vocals really shines a lot but recessed with male vocals. Details are there but no treble harshness. The bass is also boomy.

Never really loved oh1 because they no sounds after 12 khz, ca16 sound more satisfaying even on demo through the pro6305, which i also like more then ikko's

TRN BA5 for me!. CA16 is like a locked sound.
the CA16 takes the wider soundstage and bass quantity and quality, given that it's a DD bass and sounds more natural. The mids will depend on the user's preference. More forward mids in the CA16. I still prefer the BA5's extension in the treble. I own the BA5 and in overall sound signature I will still choose the BA5. I think I cannot push the volume higher in CA16 or else the mids will get shouty to my ears, I listen to a fairly high volume (but with limitations still of course). But CA16 is not bad, it's just a different sound signature. The details may go to CA16. BA5 sounds dry compared to a wet and livelier CA16.

CCA CA16 is much better in my opinion because of its trimmed down upper mids without the sacrifice on details, which can be beneficial in long listening session, while BA5 has that clarity, it can be fatiguing at times. The only gripe I have in this soundtest is the bass in CA16 is too much for me.

I listened on a crappy normal earphones and c16 sounded better. Then i listened on kz zsx and its hard to choose between the two now. I like both. But ill go with C16 as they are more forward. And ill buy trn v90 over ba05.
Ca16 have that soundstage. Ba5 have that warm musical signature. This is a very hard choice to be done

This is very difficult. I have c12's and I loved them (the connector went boom and not getting good connection. So I'm ready to snag another set and narrowed down to these 2. Idk guys! I do a bunch of lofi beats but also like metal and post rock. So idk this is very difficult. If you guys have any insight please lmk.

Listening 2 different ways give 2 winners, i belive both sound nice in real. Cca sounds stridently when listen through the phone, but didnt noticed that when listen through iem. Trn sound nice with phone and boring with iem. Sparkle of ca16 is really nice when listen with iem and they have more resolutions overall, but less weighty in lowest mids, what give them more clarity but less full tone. The most questionable is how upper mid sound in real life, this is more unrealistic part of demos this type. But here is demo of ikko oh1 which i owned more tnan a year so i may imagine the difference between demo and real sound. Still think ca16 win, more open, airy and extended. Trn sound very similar to remax rm580

Both sounded very nice, details, clarity, etc., however CCA will sometimes lean to a sibilant progression in some tracks and overall TRN is the easiest to listen to BUT (!), I want to have them both!!! 🤭😂...how about comparing these two to ZSN10 pro?....that will be a great comparison.

Хотя если через динамик телефона слушать кажется что ба5 более ровные, но в наушниках они звучат заметно проще в плане сцены, разделения, разрешения, протяженности вч, и общей тоналки. Из плюсов ба5 пианино звучит более реалистично, бас более muscular, но мне больше по душе more well integrated bass of ca16, ба5 не хватает энергии всч и вч и протяженности, чего на телефоне вообще никак не слышно, а ушах разница принципиальная и большая
Тоналка в ушах 1 в 1 как у икко он1, только высокие более протяженные, чего как раз не хватало в икко и послужило причиной продажи

dang. I received my trn ba5 today, but I liked the CCA C12 that I already owned more. TRN-BA5 black detail in vocals and the bass just comes out too strong, while CCA C12 seems more punchy and balanced. CCA C12 also seems less fatiguing at 60% volume with its clarity
I always pick trn BA based on these comparison videos, but irl test is different for me. And I assume CCA CA16 is an upgrade over CCA C12
