@truth-Hurts375 i was taught 4 subjects by my mother tongue, though they were in English. Only when treating question papers we used english to be familiar with exams etc. I did well at school for that matter under that approach
Everyone missing the point. There is not enough space in schools nor enough teachers nor enough infrastructure to support the implementation of the Act. The parties opposed to the Act also simple as so many incidents evident where Education MEC's tried to eradicate Afrikaans schools and language of education not to change it to mother tongue learning but to English. Whilst the Act still allows SGB's to determine admission and language the HOD now have the single power to just override the SGB policy. Claims that there are processes in place will be ignored and merely pushed on those schools leading to legal action to enforce the law costing schools money that could have been used for far more important things.
Yes, our children should all be equally uneducated. The ANC’s demolition of our public school education system amounted to a “Bantu education for all” policy that has the architects of apartheid smiling in their graves.
Solution. Build more schools, train more teachers, ensure the training is of a high standard, get rid of toxic and destructive unions, setup a environment where the community support, compliments and enhance the school environment. Build partnerships with schools that have more resources. Avoid destructive ideology like ones that entertain "central state control" or the "leveling the playing field by breaking down, rather than building up". Invest in areas that actuality matter, like high quality's teachers, making their jobs easier, and avoid wasting time in matters that will have no impact like blaming 5% Afrikaans schools for the failures of a government.
All i know is according to studies over 200 000 additional kids need to be added and theres no space no more kids begging on the street or outside a school after 8am. Coloured parents gonna see a lot of kids no longer selected vs blacks kids in rural areas small towns esp afrikaans schools getting hit with language changes. I dont seeany of the laws even in fully black areas being ready for a black language and an actual black teacher having HIgh grade in that language to teach grR-12 in that language.
If a black is gonna say my main language is zulu and 2nd hopefully english... I will rather look for a foreigner who doesnt ehhhh uhhhh. These days the zimbabwians and malawians know even some basic afrikaans.
@@RendaniNetshirunguluno neither does many blacks in SA tbh. Other than zulu and xhosa i barely know what the 7 others are. Also no point knowing venda. Nobody in IT/engineering/science gonna hire a guy saying he is fluent in Venda and zulu. Like seriously cant even see a big black business hiring a Venda guy without knowing english. Afrikaans is taught and canbe learned in Europe, Australia, Canada netherlands even argentina still has a small afrikaans farming group left. As a white Venda means nothing as i have no use for it although, ndingathetha isixhosa. But thats just for fun pointless in the working society. Zimbabwians speak Venda, yet spend most of the day speaking english. Just that many foreigners add a few basic afrikaans of late extra nudge to get hired over those who wanna crash it
English ought to be learned as a language & the rest of the subjects be taught using mother tongue.
Agree 💯
Keep Dreaming...
It's simply NOT possible !!!
DomDoos !!!

Parents send your children to school for relaxation and teach them at home.
DomDoos !!!
Are their handbooks for all 11 official languages.? Maths, sciences etc.
That is NOT your problem !!!
We have EQUAL education. Same books, same buildings, same trained teachers, 30 years of ANC misrule SAW NO SCHOOLS BEING BUILT. 🤦🤷🏼♂️
Feel free to tell us how many new schools your new High and Mighty Domkop DA minister plan to buildt this year !!!!
DomDoos !!!
@truth-Hurts375 your swearing shows you LACK OF IQ🤦

Not according to your very own White Matric DA !!!
The DA are going to implement this act !!!
Why are you so stressed ????
Domkop !!
Theresa, please think of all the other aspects of our society that were centralised - how did those turn out?
HOW will this act IMPROVE education?? THIS IS ALL "POLITICS"...we have "no money" to "impliment" this act...!!
Yes, our children should all be equally uneducated. The ANC’s demolition of our public school education system amounted to a “Bantu education for all” policy that has the architects of apartheid smiling in their graves.
The Bella act will do nothing to improve the quality of schools in poor and rural communities.
then suggest a solution
Then why did you vote for the Matric Domkop DA ?????
DomDoos !!!

@@mkoen5775 so basically build the whole system from the ground up and leave afrikaans schools alone?
Exatly equal education is very important
Exatly 💯 well said

I totally agree with her.
Sounds are very important.
Next they'll force kids to speak chinese and russian as second languages
Its basically because Afrikaans is not an easy language to learn. Ultimately learning a in yout mother tongue is much better and easier for children.
Bela Act makes sense its not rocket scientist
😂😂😂😂 7 million years before you all woke up. English is not the world leading language.
You must be living under a rock if you think English is not the universal language
@Babazulu another master 🙌
What do you consider a world leading language?
English first mother tongue follow my opinion 🤷🤷
