      First, there is no connection between the silk road and covid-19. It's very ridiculous and offensive to hear that. Second, the silk road originated from Chang'an in the Han Dynasty, which is also the Xi'an City in Shaanxi Province nowadays. The silk road is absolutely started from China. This is a very solid history that cannot be tampered with. Third, covid-19 is our common enemy, and there is no evidence that Wuhan is the origin of COVID, it is just the first place where covid-19 broken out.

    BBC Learning English is one of my favorite channels. But today's episode made me quite uncomfortable and disappointed. How could you say Covid-19 came from Wuhan China? Lots of evidence have shown that the virus already existed in Europe before the outbreak in Wuhan. This is just an international platform for English learning, pls don't be politicized and discriminatory.

    To be honest. The Spanish flu was born in the USA. I don't why we have to bear this " motto". Some like a stigma, a dangerous stigma because The Spanish flu was a tragedy of the whole world. Like Trafalgar's Battle. By the way. Do you know where Horace Nelson lost his right arm.?. Where. ? He lost his arm in Tenerife and I live over there. History gives us surprising old news. Most of them are really breaking news. LOL

    when she said the pandemic come from .... , it makes me feel uncomfortable. The words she said were discriminatory and misleading. Maybe next time Georgina can give us a better example.
    We are all victims of the virus. People in different countries they all suffer from the pain and stress. The bad man is virus instead of any countries. The BBC is an international channel, please be a bigger man!

    I’m half Japanese and half Chinese, and i must say that the Silk Roads are not from Japan. They’re from China. According to a theory, the east end of the roads might have been Japan, but usually they’re considered to start from China. They’re called “the Silk Roads” BECAUSE they mainly brought things like silk from China, and Japan was not an important country. BBC, You might not be totally wrong, but what you say can lead to misunderstanding. Honestly, this made me disappointed and quite uncomfortable.

    Dears Neil and Georgina, the Spanish flu was born in Arkansas USA. It was discovery in a farm over there. Actually the History is cruel when people turned it into a blaming other countries. France said, sifilis was a Spanish desease, but there were no Spanis infected , and on and on, we have built a liar History next to the truth.

    If those concerned analyze the other pandemic,the trend will come.as a result ,we can prevent coco-19 and think how I should do.

    1. I reckon that the coronavirus is more lethal than HIV now.
    2. People who live in high-density places are highly likely to expose to the virus than those who live in low-density places.
    3. Indonesia is not one of peripheral countries. It lies on the centre of shipping line in Asia-Pasific region.
    4. The flight routes in most countries are sleepy due to the travel bans.
    5. If you go to the market wearing a face mask, you might get a less serious dose of coronavirus.

      Homem-Olá, este é seis minutes BBC learning english, eu sou Neil.
      Mulher- E eu sou Georgina!
      Neil- Eu realmente já tive o suficiente deste coronavirus. Pessoas adoecendo,perdendo seus empregos e ainda por cima, os pubs em alguns locais estão fechados.
      Georgina- eu sei isso é ruim! Mas se comparar com o histórico de pandemias como a gripe espanhola e a crise econômica grande depressão, coronavirus não é tão ruim. Precisa olhar a figura toda olhar o quadro geral e ter uma visão a longo prazo da situação.

    • @nathachaesteves8092
      @nathachaesteves8092 4 года назад

      Neil- de alguma forma isso não é muito reconfortante, mas me diga mais...
      Georgina- bem, ouvimos muito de políticos e cientistas sobre a disseminação do coronavírus, mas uma visão dos historiadores pode dar uma nova visão das imagens maiores e talvez um ponto de vista mais esperançoso...por isso, neste programa, vamos ouvir o historiador peter frank opan autor e o best-seller do livro " the silk roads" português "As estradas da seda".
      Neil- ah o título daquele livro, me lembra da minha pergunta do teste, georgina ... você está pronta?
      ...

    • @nathachaesteves8092
      @nathachaesteves8092 4 года назад

      Ge - Vou tentar Neil, mas a única coisa que sei sobre as estradas da seda é que elas eram o antigo roteador ao longo da qual as pessoas viajavam pela terra.
      Ne- Muito bom Georgina, não apenas pessoas, mas também ideias, religiões, línguas e doenças, viajaram de um lugar para outro ao longo dessas estradas antigas. mas eram qual os destinos das estradas da seda? essa é a minha pergunta era a) de america do sul para europa? b) de africa para asia? c) de asia para europa?

    • @nathachaesteves8092
      @nathachaesteves8092 4 года назад

      ge - bem, uma vez que esta pandemia atual veio de wuhan, direi c) da Ásia para a Europa neil- ok Georgina, vamos descobrir mais tarde se isso é certo, o que é certo é que a doença de um lugar para outro e dos animais para os humanos, em nada de novo. ouça o historiador Peter Frankopan, sendo entrevistado.

    • @nathachaesteves8092
      @nathachaesteves8092 4 года назад

      Peter Frankopan- Bem, é uma coisa bastante previsível que um historiador diria, mas mudanças e doenças generalizadas não são novidade. Todos os nossos ancestrais passaram por grandes pandemias, algumas delas muito mais letais do que o coronavírus. E um dos produtos da convivência em populações de alta densidade, remontando aos registros históricos, é que você descobre que há transições de doenças de animais para seres humanos e elas infligem danos. E esse dano normalmente você mede nas taxas de mortalidade, mas depois nas consequências econômicas e sociais das doenças. Há muitos exemplos na história para aprender.
