1:37 what does unwind mean here? Normally it means to relax, doesn't it? And we have another similar word, to Wind Down that means both to relax and to end gradually or in stages, or to cause something to do this, but that's wind down not unwind so i don't really know what unwind means in this headline
Hi Greetings from 🇱🇰 Sri Lanka, this youtube channel is really helpful for ppl like us who are non native in English language.I would like to do a small suggestion - its better if we could see the speakers like in your old programs. So that we can see how you pronounce it...Anyway Thanks a lot for these valuable programs ...❤👍
You should still be able to turn the subtitles on - look for the CC button. It may be on the top of your screen. If not, you can find the text on our website: www.bbc.co.uk/learningenglish/english/features/learning-english-from-the-news_2025/250122

You're right, this is a different use of 'unwind' and it basically means to change or remove the effects of something.

The word "frenemy" is pretty interesting.
😊 Can you use 'frenemy' in a sentence?
My co-worker Takashi is a frenemy. He always pretends to be friendly, but he actually wants to get promoted.
I don't know the Word "frenemies" It is very clever 😅
❤
Grant clemency means showing act of kindness but it is used for legal purposes mostly
Next word is frenimies means friends+enemies
My co-workters and I are sometimes prenemies.
Currently, Ai is the golden age.
👍 Nice example! 🤓 Quick correction - we would say 'Currently, AI is in a golden age'.
I granted my son life clemency last year because he was not mature enough.
👍 Good effort, but we usually use the expression 'grant clemency' in a legal context.
Grant clemency
Investment in crypto-currency, would be good! 🛎
