    Some people are always on time but others are always late - they never allow enough time to get somewhere. Lateness can also sometimes be attributed to an underlying fear of being early. Neil and Catherine talk about different people's attitude to being on time.

    Being punctual is important for me.
    It reflects one’s manner. Every time, when I meet up with my friends, I will usually arrive early. It is because I value this friendship very much.

    Thank you BBC for discussing a very essential part of our lifestyle. It's completely necessary for everyone to be Punctual with their tasks to achieve anything. We should be time keeping instead of time bender and finish our tasks before the deadline. It give us pleasure!
    Thank you again 😊😊

    I am definitely a time bender. I always thought I can stretch the time to whatever I feel like doing. But I hate that I always fail to do everything by the time I should finish. I have managed to do things in time a few times and that actually made me quite pleased😊. I shall try it more.

    To be on time means to be responsible. If somebody turns up late, it also can be a signal that the person isn’t serious or interested in meeting or even in you. I think, to be on time is a very important ability:)

    • @ToanTheNomad
      @ToanTheNomad 3 года назад

      I disagree. I mean just ask yourself, when you’ve turned up late (which I know you have because there’s no one in this world who has never been “late”), was it because you weren’t serious or didn’t care? If anything, it probably made you care even more. And just because you “care” about something doesn’t mean you can translate that feeling into something productive.

    • @1akashpandey1
      @1akashpandey1 2 года назад

      @@ToanTheNomad I understand what you are trying to say but at the same time it is not always about being punctual at all the time it is about being punctual generally.
      First time it is a mistake, second time it is a coincidence and the third time it is a habit.

    Me too :) / ;(
    I find out recently, that time benders are adult ADHD :(
    It's really hard. We don't want to be late. It's stressfull and it's kind of compulsion "don't waste your time by going out earlier". Even though you feel bad later that you are wasting the other person's time.
    Greats from Cracov - Poland! ❤✌

    Being punctual is an essential quality to us. We dislike those who always come late. But many people are time benders, believing they can arrive on time and resist to start off early. Unfortunately, seldom can they be on time. I hate this, because I am the one among them. I had been making effort to be a timekeeper.

    He has learned 13 LANGUAGES, speaks 6 languages, lectures at Moscow universities. He is a Russian language specialist, linguist, and polyglot. His passion and helpful advice are a source of motivation and a trigger for me and many people. I've made outstanding and dramatic improvements thanks to his help and guidance. I think you never will be motivated for a long time if you won't find your mentor. The most important thing he can achieve fluency even without practice at all ( as he did it in English). İf it interesting for someone his channel is called Linguamus.

    In Japan, only a minute of late of bullet train(shinkansen) makes the company apologise officially on TV. It’s crazy. But the reason is not because they regret or something, but the public won’t forgive these tiny mistakes. People in Japan may seem kind, but it’s most of the time out of fears of being attacked by others.

    Hello thanks for the video, I’ve a question for you when she was saying “I do always turn up” does it mean that she shows up or arrives? If so why is she using the verb turn up and is that for emphasizing or something?

      Hi! 'Turn up' is a common expression in British English. It has the same meaning as 'show up', which is more common in American English. Hope that helps!

    on time and be lated are a actual matter in life. And for some countries, everyone's lateness became to popular culture. For perspective, I reckon this is really not good for work as well as others. We had better be timekeeping people.
