      I dont think David cares either way...probably bc his legacy speaks for itself. The dude is and will always be a drum god to me. But then his rockstar holier than thou attitude is what led to his downfall.....for example, looking back in disdain and scoffing at what were his humble beginnings in LAPD, that shows he doesn't have an ounce of self respect or maturity one should have as an accomplished musician, which he is...but lacks any sense of intrspection in order to stay consistent their careers. .instead they refuse to accept things as they are with regards to their past, and continue to live in self denial. Everything happens for a reason. It was actually pretty stellar musiucianship for how young he was. I guess hes just not in the right frame of mind to talk about that...perhaps feeling insecure due to some kinda inferiority complex he now has with all the comparisons being made to Korn in past tense. But thats not right..I dont even think he has any genuine interest left in music at this point, as you can make out from the shitty cookie cutter bands he's been playing with. Its exactly due to this type of mentality, he doesnt seem to be too grateful for all the exposure he had to music and the people he got to work with......ultimately losing all his original influences after letting fame get to his head....and now doesn't even have half the ability he once possessed. Its always pride before the fall.

    • @LeadMe2TheBliss
      @LeadMe2TheBliss 10 месяцев назад +1

      He didn't necessarily just "walk away" it was WAY more complexing than a lot of fans truly understand. It had ZERO to do with his modeling career or his restaurant business. They were all lost in life around 2006-2007 after Brian left, even Munky reached his lowest point and became a MASSIVE alcoholic...2006-2007 was a low point for the band as a whole. Munky lost his father too which put him in an extremely dark place. Also, David had issues with the songwriters they worked with on SYOTOS and his drum parts seemed to be replaced by electronic drums...and when they went on tour they had back up drummers on stage which I wouldn't imagine David was totally cool with.

    • @LeadMe2TheBliss
      @LeadMe2TheBliss 5 месяцев назад

      @@bluewaterdiggers5970 Brian walked away from it all too but was welcomed back. Brian also stirred up a LOT of drama because Jonathan Davis is anti organized religion. Fieldy is also a HUGE douchebag too and has struggled with massive alcohol issues. It's no mystery why David and Fieldy never liked each other because they are both capable of being huge d!ckheads.

      that's like the first time i've seen someone get it right about korn in the comments. i'd just have a category right after 'masterpieces' called 'very good' and I would put untouchables in that and keep TALITM and SYOTHS in 'good' category. Everything from 2006-2016 was not that interesting. The 2016 record was a bit better but not there. However, The Nothing, I think is there best stuff untouchables. I think The Nothing could be in the same category as Untouchables.

      I think he might miss korn, that’s a small, maybe… I think what he misses.. is having his signature style of drumming in the music… Which I kind of got the idea that he just was tired of how they started making music in 2006 on his last album with them.. I believe he just got tired of not making genuine music the way he wanted it to be… which was the reason he left. I’m pretty sure he misses the paycheck which I would too.. but I understand his reason for leaving. I played drums in bands I Didn’t like making music with.. for many reasons.. I didn’t like being pushed around to play a certain way, I didn’t like how I couldn’t write my own parts a certain way, so me not interested in playing with those particular groups.. so it’s completely understandable why he didn’t want to be there and I’m sure he didn’t give a shit about even leaving the paycheck because you’re honestly not gonna stay in something you don’t like doing it’s just not gonna work.. this is just my opinion

He sped up the patterns of the drumming in a way that completely complimented the song. Somebody Someone, Beg For Me, Did My Time, Embrace, Freak On A Leash, Twist, Good God, Faget (a song that even David admits has given him "trouble" replicating the pattern during live performances because he overdid his creativity for that song or something like that, I don't want to put word in the man's mouth... it would be disrespectful. The man's music saved my life in many ways.), his whole performance in Issues... I mean pun intended Good God the man is good!!! The people that don't care for Ray Luzier being Korn's drummer, probably aren't musicians themselves and only want David back for the nostalgic factor. He was sort of toxic for the band. He had his place and made his mark with the earlier music, but Ray is an all-around more talented drummer and really cool guy. He's brought a freshness to the band, which they needed.

    Dave, brush your hair!!!! You used to be a model!!! Have some pride in your appearance. Looks like somebody just woke Dave up and told him "Hey, Dude, we got a Skype interview!!

      They just had band practice before the interview. But still, it would be cool if he brushed his hair lol.

      @@rocktalks5706 Greeat interviewing btw!!! I love your style and you actually allow your guests to talk and banter back and forth instead of rapid firing questions without engaging in good conversation. Love this interview!! And I'm happy Dave's finally happy. Been a huge fan since KoRn.

    David Silveria if you read this just know that Korn ain't shit without you. Korn is not a band that can switch out members. It's comparable to the doors trying to pull off "other voices" when Jim Morrison died. I haven't heard a full Korn song since you left the band either. KORNS MAGIC IS DEAD WITHOUT ALL 5 ORIGINAL MEMBERS!!!!

    That’s crazy about the (see you on the other side) album.. I actually really like nearly all the songs.. I wasn’t a fan of all the hits on the album.. but I loved all the songs that weren’t hits. David would probably hate me for saying this lol but I actually liked the drums lol 😂 it was not signature for sure. I could tell 1000%… I play drums hard-core… and I could tell a lot of it was modified… It didn’t sound like signature David.. but I love the album. It’s honestly one of my goals with David to listen to… the snare drum is cranking

    When did David turn into a lesbian bus driver?

    David is still fucking bad ass… nothing broke him.. nothing changed. He still “ getting at it” like he would say.. this is just a new journey of his life, and this band just happens to have an iconic player in it.. and David will always be the talk with this band. But what is most important is that this is the band he’s in now and this is the project they got going on and that’s what is important..

    The missing ingredient for Korn to sound the way they used to that Raw Power David and Fildy the rhythm session it’s untouchable tight laid-back raw so powerful but yet invigorating and soothing,we shall see if in the near future it remains to be seen

    Everytime he brings up Korn his bandmates leave and talk about how long it's been since he has showered or changed his underwear.
