BC from HedPE connected me with Bobby and J-Sin back in 2000ish to audition for the drumming position. Bobby was kind enough to fly me out to Louisville for the audition. This was right before they were leaving for the Ozzfest tour in addition to heading to New York, I think that's correct, to record their second album. I auditioned with Bobby and J-Sin and was offered the drumming position. I stayed at Bobby's house for a few days in Louisville during the process and obviously got to meet J-Sin as well. Will never forget we met at Steak 'n Shake the first night and J-Sin even scraped up enough money to buy me dinner at Burger King one of the nights I was there . Bobby and J-Sin were both nice dudes. Was a great experience.

In my opinion, "Pleasures of the Flesh" is a total classic.

Having been in a band the feeling is like being with a gf and once a member leaves or even you leave it’s bad blood. You don’t wanna see them you don’t wanna hear them you just put it in your rear view mirror and it’s almost as if that person or band didn’t exist in your world anymore

I love Rick to bits, such a humble person for the musician he is, but I have to say that his memory is a bit rusty : Bonded by blood could have never come out at the same time as Kill 'em all, it was recorded in the summer of 84, by then Metallica had finished recording Ride the lightning which came out in the fall of that year. There's no shame in admitting that Metallica were better musicians at the time.

Bro youre a good interviewer. Here is my take on ill nino. Marc sounds like a nice guy but the band as a whole sounds terrible live in recent years. Its really not marcs fault in my opinion. The band as whole just sounds terrible live ever since diego, christian, and ahrue left. I will say that the song all or nothing was good and his vocals were good in that song. After this recent news of marc quitting though, i think the band should call it quits at this point. They will never sound as good they did in their early days. Time for them to move onto other things

Yeah that crab walking shit is stupid. After and justice, I quit being a fan pretty much. But I will always be a fan of that album and the ones before. And justice would have been a masterpiece if it was just recorded and mixed correctly.

Rick's been a guitar hero of mine since I first saw Exodus in 88. He sounds great here - hope to hear more music from him.
