Excellent video Dave! Very informative on the new upgrades and great scenery! Best of luck, it was great meeting you and the other channels! Take care.
My wife and I have a 2020 Honda Pioneer 1000-5 and we love it!!! We ride Windrock and Cumberland Mtn WMA to see the elk there. I must say I wish the pioneer came stock with all 4 tires the same size and maybe 28 inch tires. But overall I think it’s one of the best for the money and all around use.
Thank you, I appreciate the comment. I was just trying to answer the questions I would have. Say sub’d as I am hoping to have a video on the new 1000-6 as well
Just got my 2022 Pioneer Trail a few weeks ago. I had some OEM upgrades and some after-market ones also. This is my first UTV, and we ( my wife and I ) love it. Where we live you can ride on the roads, trails, and crown lands (Central Ontario, Ca.) I haven't pushed it to its limits, but so far it has displayed some great capabilities in off-roading.
One issue that I have with my 2016 unit, is that the chassis and roll cage rust too easy. I had a bunch of the roll cage powder coated and used a rust inhibitor paint on the Chassis to try and slow it down. We shipped it to Costa Rica and will see how it lasts, since we only use it during dry season. I need to look into the new seat and under tray for it also.
I missed the mark. I thought that the teaser video was about a gun class with an ATV to haul the stuff. You are a well rounded expert in many things. Are you selling your custom '19 for the '22?
Mike Finnegan, Make her something she likes and don’t forget a nice desert. Once you get one she will love it. I got a in August and I can attest that it is very stout and my wife loves it.
When you picked the Pioneer a few years ago in the pre-COVID world what did you like about it? I heard people say that the DCT is incredible, but I am afraid of DCTs. We have Gators and IR golf carts as utility vehicles. Our ground is flat. There is the thud of the CVT engaging, and that is how we know when to replace the belt or sheaves. I am just afraid to try new stuff until I hear trusted people give me advice. You have the experience with the DCT. I think that Honda has used the DCT for a while, and I am swapping belts every few years in the off season.
Honda's been making this stuff for years. Way less maintenance that CVTs and much more reliability. Hondas are bulletproof. I have a Rancher with 11,000 miles on it and it just keeps running.
John, check out my video on why I picked the Honda Pioneer, it is linked in the end that should offer some overview. I have to say it has been an absolutely great machine to date. Whether it be trail riding trips traveling to the range to make videos or general chores, heck we even take it out to go get ice cream with the kids. I still absolutely love it. In some of the Honda forums there are guys who have 30 40 and even 50,000 miles on original Drive train. Plus the capabilities of the machine are crazy, obviously there are a ton of mods and aftermarket and even mine I modified a lot but they are very capable off-road machines. What some of the guys do with them I did not think was possible with a “utility “machine
So the i-technology pretty much replaces the diff lock system?? If you were on the fence about getting a pioneer model with the diff lock feature vs the i-technology which one would you choose?
I was old school in thinking locking diff. However now that I’ve driven the i4wd models on a few trails I am impressed. It’s a pretty cool system how it can get such good traction and knowing where to apply the power

Won't be selling the 19 anytime soon ha ha, unless Honda sponsors the channel with a new rig lol
Time to have a talk with the Mrs. over dinner on a new big ticket purchase! Lol

My YT feed is now full of Pioneer videos. G&T was the first.

Can you remove the back/rear portion of the cage to have better access to the bed in the 1000-5??
Probably but I am not certain of that process
I was sent here by Red Toolhouse.
Thanks for coming over!
🏆🏆🏆👍🇺🇲🙏

Thank you for sharing .
I never seen any trail that a gulf car couldn't handle. So not very or any what impressed
I’d love to see what golf cart can go on some of these trails. That would be a cool video.
