Some time ago I made a genuine purchase of a shield-back sovereign on ebay. The seller was on the South Coast of England. Two days later the very same photographs of that coin reappeared on ebay from a seller in the North East of England, and the bidding was already over £200. I reported this to ebay; the following day the listing disappeared, and I like to think I stopped a buyer from being scammed.
Well done. Not all heroes wear capes hey. So easily done I've heard this done even on cars and property now.

Almost All of these are general scams and not specific to hold scams per say. The only real one that’ll catch most people out is paying over the odds for a “rare” coin that’s worth bullion. Best of luck to all in your collecting journeys 🙌
You know - I really should look into what made this particular metal worth a damn to begin with. What was the point-of-origin? "This thing's pretty! I bet I can trade it in for a cart of clothes and weapons!"
Also back In the roman empire, I understand they knew It was a very rare material but why exactly obsess over It and want more of It so bad! They couldn't use It for much except use It as money

Is it a good idea to invest in 1/4 ounce gold coins due to the premiums or should you save and buy full ounces
I get 1/4oz if you only need a few hundred you can sell one if you sell a full oz you might not use the balance to buy more gold and end up spending it on other stuff
