Dear Stapp. You the ultimate Bad Ass Boss😎. You saved pilots lives, and laid the foundation to save numerous civilian lives. By sacrificing your own body to danger, you saved others from a worse fate. You are a national Hero.
this documentary is loaded with life saving imformation . it should sent to every school in the world to educate children ,to every company to educate the people there ,that own or drive vechiles..this video will destroy every argument against ..not wearing your safety seat belt
little jo a plane crash has different forces than a car crash a plane crash is more of a downward force while a car crash is more forward or backwards so a lap belt would be more effective than a shoulder belt it also saves money, room, and time when your getting out of a plane
Errrrrrr did you watch the video? Car safety is the difference between waking up at home feeling a bit stiff the next day, or waking up in the hospital in a freaking body cast due to numerous compound fractures and a concussion. Or worse. Instead of a sore neck, you die due to getting a “hang mans fracture” in your neck. Or the difference between a bloody nose and a crushed skull from the steering column. I saw a new special about how a man survived being crushed between two semis….and walking away. His Subaru was crushed (front semi stopped short, and semi behind him crashed into him) like a can perfectly around him. The front and back were gone. But the driver and front passenger were still intact enough for him to survive with relatively minor injuries. They need the jaws of life to get him out. But he got out freaking alive and was standing for an interview a week later. He was very sore, but just had severe bruising in a few places. Testing like this probably saved my grandpa when she had a car accident with a tree. She was old school and refused to wear a seat belt. But the airbag and crumple zone saved her life. She had a bloody face due to no seat belt. Had to spend the night in the hospital, and felt THAT for two weeks. But she recovered 100%. Insurance gave her a decent new used Subaru. She had a very minor accident afterwards….and decided she was to old to drive. I got the 94 Subaru. Put over 350K miles on her. One of the last front wheel drive Subaru’s. Never had a major accident (knocks on wood). Just 1-2 minor fender benders. No one is perfect. I now drive a 2019 Ford Focus Titanium. Good little car, low insurance rates due to excellent safety rating.
In summery. Car safety has increased the rate of survivability of sever accidents AND reduced severity of injuries. Seeing my Grandmas front bumper wrapped around a decent sized tree (impact over 30mph down a steep hill in snow) convinced me of that. As I said in a previous comment, she was very anti seat belt. Griped about them chaffing her. The airbag and crumple zone saved her life and prevented worse injury. Had a very bloody nose and nasty bruises afterwards. She was in her late 70’s at the time. Before giving up driving, she wore her seatbelt afterwards. She still hated them. But I think the doctors (and insurance companies) lecture changes her mind. Look. Sometimes no amount of “safety features” can save you from certain situations. Your right about that. But most accidents are at lower speeds. Humans are very fragile. To reduce injures and drastically the chance of fatalities in these common accidents can make a huge difference. Even if in a deadly crash…would you prefer a open or closed casket for your funeral at the very least? Or do you prefer a mop and bucket to be used to gather your little bits and brains after being flung around and out a window into incoming traffic? I saw some “interesting” videos and pictures of uncensored footage of idiots not wearing seatbelts or driving drunk. Being interested in forensics as a little girl/hunter , gore never bothered me. Meh. Ohhhhh. Look a chunk of gray matter on the pavement! Person next to me: 😭🤢🤮 Me: Seriously? 🤨 What’s your problem? It’s a young mans brains after being ejected due to no seat belt and car rolling, and crushing his skull….resulting in his brain squirting out. He is dead and not feeling anything anymore. Person next to me: *cries harder*. Me: 🤦♀️ God Damn It. People are so Squeamish these days over bodily fluids it’s sad. This is why I am anti censorship of blood and gore. People need to see that actions have consequences. Your insides becomes your outsides in some situations.
One of the fantastic innovation what will be show in this year on polish -american innowation week in LA NOV 2014 is "JR Protecting systen" The goal of the invention is to provide the method of protecting the car against blow effects, and to achieve the desired effect wherein the kinetic energy of the blowing car into a vehicle during the collision is transformed into work of displacement of the vehicle. It enables reduction or elimination of the deformation of the car body. The advantage of the invention is reduction of the reaction force of the weels on the base in case of collision with another vehicle by elimination of the weels contact with the base. It is achieved by rising the vehicle by using the elastic cushions which have rolling elements while contacting with the base. www.jrsystem.strefa.pl
