By the law, if someone found a redemption card in a pack or box break, they would have a successful lawsuit. By law, if a customer can show that boxes of cards are bought months, years or even decades after original release dates, it shows that it’s common knowledge that this is how card collectors operate. The card companies know this and unless it is written on the boxes and packs that “ any redemption card found after a certain date is not valid “ then it’s valid. Like a warning label on any product or item .
I think because of the nature of the hobby, with packs/boxes getting ripped decades after distribution, expiring redemptions should be made obsolete moving forward. Card companies are making a ton of money off the hopes that someone can pull one of these and they aren't showing proof of destruction after the deadline has passed on these redemptions. How is it possible for that to happen with the way the hobby is today?

This card is all but mythical. Putting the money aside, if it is within your grasp and you have time for the deal, I would go for it! The acquisition itself would be an adventure. Great content too.
I use hate the idea they would destroy cards that need to be redeemed. Is it really so much trouble to get a bank safety deposit box and keep a few dozen chase cards in there in case they get redeemed later?
I know back in the day i sent in a couple of damaged cards to donruss ...this was early 2000s...they ended up sending me back a bunch of different cards and 1 of them was a carson palmer donruss elite rookie auto...that was a redemption from a few years earlier...I know this because I pulled it back when the product was new...I think it's possible these non redeemed cards are used in this manner as well...I'm not saying every non redeemed card but it's an easy button fix for them when a problem arises.

Totally agree. Honestly, if someone pulls this redemption I can see a successful lawsuit or maybe a replacement of some kind.
Just buy the Jordan outright if you can afford it
Chasing the dragon doesn’t always end well
I have seen these for years and had no idea they were redemption cards. Thanks for the info.
Always wondered how the hobby would be if Covid never happened
Great video! You should show some of your cards. Sounds like you have a great collection.

Fingers crossed they are out there. Would be heartbreaking if they were destroyed .
I agree I just can’t see someone doing that.
