Your tactics are interesting. I have been using the palette website for months now to colorize my old B&W photos and yes, you are correct in the way you color blend the colorized version because of the low resolution. In fact, I also have to remove, sometimes, the boiler plate the website superimposes. I still say an easy way to de-cast is to do a layer fill, with the color in question and do the divide blend mode. Moving round the color wheel helps to pick the best color to divide out. Using the picture that you provided with this method helps overall, but not the person in the forground, thus your method to add a palette colorized version is good.
Thanks for the feedback. I did try the divide blend mode but need more practice on it. Palette really is impressive though expensive. Can't blame the google guy for going solo 😊 So did you get the paid version?
@@takebetterphotos8132 No paid version, just color blend like you did and sometimes the boilerplate goes away on its own. I need to colorize old family photos -
I thought this was very interesting! Thanks very much.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Brilliant!
Thanks!

Yes I think thats good enough. Hope the google guy won't prevent it 😊
Nice! Do you care to make that photo available to play with? I'd love taking a crack at fixing it “by hand."
I really appreciate it.
Glad to know!
