I remember when you guys first reacted to college football a few years ago. And you couldn’t believe the hype, the spectacle, the crowd, the noise. And now for you to actually visit in person is truly fantastic. So happy that you got to experience this. And such a great job with this video. Well filmed and expertly edited. This entire trip has been spectacular. Thank you.
110,000 at a college game is crazy. Here in England, that's more than even Wembley can hold. Aiden was cracking me up, always thought he was quite reserved but when he's had a beer seems he let's loose😂
What's even crazier is a 110,000 capacity stadium that, besides the immediate State College area, is in the middle of nowhere. Over 70% of Centre County's total population could fit into that stadium at peak attendance (and we're talking about an area 114 mi^2 larger than Luxembourg). Goes to show just how broad the college football fanbase is that a 110,000 capacity stadium in a rural area is economically viable.
Arkansas is the 33rd most populous state at just over 3 million people. Donald W Reynolds Razorback Stadium of the University of Arkansas, has a capacity of 76,000 people. It is the 20th largest college stadium. Old Tratford, the second largest UK stadium, only holds 74,197. Ten stadiums are larger than Wembley, 8 by at least 10,000.
I'm a State College native and PSU alum, man this video made me homesick. I'm so glad you guys had a great time. It's truly an experience like I have never, nor can describe to anyone until they are there and feel it.
Without a doubt one of the best videos on this channel. And, I live in Washington and both of my kids graduated from UW lol... The energy from both you and Aidan was palpable. I personally love daytime games but this game at night was epic. You guys are perfect guests and it looks like you got on with everybody and had a great time. Great video. 🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈
It actually was invented in the US but most Europeans never heard of it until the World Cup when it was hosted in Mexico. So they called it the Mexican Wave because they thought it came from there.
Wow, what an introduction to college football. To anyone that wants to see an American football game, I think a big college game is the way to go, if you can get tickets. The atmosphere is incredible. The tailgating is epic. You can walk around the campus. I hope you made it to the creamery (Penn State has its own herd of dairy cows and makes its own ice cream).
Good stuff man. I remember driving through PA on a road trip a while back and it's just hills and green from the highway and out of nowhere this massive football stadium comes into view .
Strange the views are so low, the video is amazing. Always wonder if algorithm is keeping your videos from being seen more for some reason. Either way, this is 100x better than other British reach channels vids in USA, good job!
There are many who prefer college ball vs professional. In college, the players are trying to prove themselves. So glad you got to experience this live!
I used to usher at Beaver Stadium for 18 years. The Whiteouts were always awesome to see! I live and work very close to Penn State University and go by the Stadium and campus many times a week. WE ARE PENN STATE!!
You did pick one of, if not the, best experiences in college football. PSU fans are very loud and supportive. On game day State College becomes the third largest city in the Commonwealth, population-wise. Over 110 k in the stands and probably another 50k still in the lots. A white out game is a special level of energy and we bring the noise to disrupt the opposing team, make it hard for them to communicate. We also make it a point to be good hosts and treat the opposing team's fans with respect. Glad you had a great time. I was there, tailgated for ten hours and somehow remember the game.
Aiden would LOVE the American college experience.. HE SHOULD REALLY CONSIDER IT😅 and start his own channel.. never too late I know people who started freshman year at 21.
So glad you’re all having a ridiculously good time. You guys warmed up to everyone around you. Everyone enjoyed you as well. Hard to ask for anything more. ✌🏻
Thanks for coming to our football game/white out. It would've been a pleasure to meet you, but 110K people makes it a bit difficult. I'm glad you had a good time.
Absolutely best video put out so far. Would have liked to see Gaynor in some shots getting on with the college crowd. Hope she had a blast too (obviously Aidan did 😂😂😂😂)!
Hey, Fellas! I've enjoyed several of your videos, and i'm so happy that you've both now experienced this amazing slice of Americana! I am, however, biased toward southern football and the SEC, and I look forward to seeing you experience some of those venues -- Texas, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Alabama, and (my Alma Mater) the University of Florida. Florida Field is always in the conversation with regard to being the loudest (and most difficult) stadium, which is impressive since maximum capacity is only about 95,000. Also, though I have no personal experience, I'd be willing to bet that (for northern schools) Ohio State and Michigan have better game day experiences than Penn State. But forget all that! I'm just so happy that you both had such a fantastic experience in my country! I hope you felt welcomed, and I sincerely hope you come back!
One of the coolest vids I've seen. Been a fan since 3, and now an Alumni, and it's nice to see you guys loving it as much as we do. First college football game being a Whiteout was a great choice! Glad we got a monster win for you lads!
Well, I will say you picked the right team for your first college football game. Let’s go Penn State. We used to have season tickets to the games and we would drive our 37 foot RV up there on Friday and leave on Sunday. My son was in school there at the time. We have so many great memories and whiteout games were the best.
Just loved the 'Wave' / 'Mexican Wave' debate in the stands. If I recall correctly, the 'Wave' began at the University of Washington in 1981. By 1986 it was being done all over America, and was replicated at stadiums during the 1986 World Cup in Mexico, which was viewed by people around the world. That is why Brits call it the 'Mexican Wave', believing it originated there.
