This is the longplay of Super Mario World - Return to Dinosaur Land, a Super Mario World hack made famous not for graphics or music but for its gameplay.
The story here is the almost same as always in all the Mario games: Mario and Peach were visiting the land of the Dinosaurs and the princess was kidnapped again, so we began a new adventure through the dinosaur lands saving Yoshis eggs, destroying castles and etc.
It's a simple hack that was meant to be something of a continuation of Super Mario World, including the return of the same bosses from the official game, but with different stages. It's a good game, but extremely linear. All stages have been completed and the 59 exits found.

Honestly had a blast with this and without a strategy guide or cheats, it was literally like playing SMW for the first time again -- having to use your brain for certain things, remembering patterns, etc was super fun.

I just bought this! I never knew this existed. This is the super mario world 2 we should of got. Yoshis island is great but didnt feel like a super mario world 2 like this does so far

The SNES Classic/Mini has really poor emulation, and this hack changes a lot in the ROM.

Savestates, online multiplayer and other neat features work, making it far superior to the SNES Mini/Classic.
I highly recommend buying an FXPAK Pro/SD2SNES Pro in combination with a real Super Nintendo.
The FXPAK Pro/SD2SNES Pro is expensive with ~200 bucks, but it's the best flashcart currently on the market and can be updated with external firmware updates, which other flashcarts for the SNES are unable to.
Really, it's worth the money. 👍
Playing the original game give the feeling of nostalgia, but it can feel repetitive and bored.
Newer game may have the same gameplay, but just isn't the same game.

How to pass the maze on Wiggler Ghost House?
Strangely enough, I looked up at a tv while doing a number a sequences at the last part before entering a door, and finished the level.

Probably my all time favorite SMW romhack. I get soo much nostalgia from this. Super Mario World introduced me to the world of video games in the early 90s and to this day, it never grows old.
Dinosaur Land features some pretty clever level design despite it being more linear. I highly recommend it! Btw, sweet longplay man! Just watching a Mario wiz breeze thru these levels without a single death so far deserves massive respect!😉 Very nicely done!

The hack is way more difficult than the original game and too hard for me. I gave up playing the game early because of this. I just could not find the exit in the maze room.
@@ealswytheangelicrealms Yeah, it was really tough for me too, especially the last few castles and a ghost house or 2. It takes a lot of trial and error to figure some things out in certain levels at first. Definitely, a lot tougher than the original I do agree. The maze room took a little bit of practice to eventually figure out what they wanted you to do in there. There might have been a hint box in that level or something that I had to re-read till I finally got what I was supposed to do. Lol 😂

I believe so. Since it is a Super Mario World hack, it will certainly work as it carries the same structure as the original game. In Analogue Super NT with Jailbreak works, already the Snes Classic Mini I do not know (I have Analogue Super NT, but I do not have the Snes Classic Mini). But I believe it will work!

É mais linear esse jogo, talvez ele tenha sido feito dessa maneira para ter essa facilidade. E inclusive o jogador pode salvar a cada fase, o que facilita mais.

Dinosaur Land is much more difficult than the original game and I did not get very far in it. The game was just too hard and I could not find the exit on that maze level. Congratulations on finishing the game. I wonder if there are any hacks out there that have difficulty level equal to or less than the original game. I have not found any.

Wow, great game!
But a lot more difficult than the original game. I tried playing it but gave up early because it was just too hard and I kept dying all the time. The person playing the game makes it look easy because they are a real expert game player and I could tell had played the game many times and completed it before making this video. I knew this because the person making the video knew what was coming next off the screen when they were playing it. These hacks I have found to a waste of time playing because they are just too hard and no fun. Try Brutal Mario for an impossibly hard game. I can tell the hacker who made that game was a sadistic SOB that loved making that hack so impossibly hard he could laugh at anyone attempting it.

Is this some kind of rip of or something? I feel like its super mario world but with weird levels. Dont get me wrong theyre great levels, but same boss fights, same animations everything... and not the same developpers. I feel like this game is just a weird version and aint even close to being as good as the original game.

This is hack rom. This game was made using the original Super Mario World as a base. This hack is very simple, there are several that can even modify the graphics and scenarios completely, being able to create new games with other stories.

I'm just carious why can't you get hacked roms from a rom site? It took me hours figuring out how to patch the rom. Why not distribute the rom already patched, so all you have to do is load the rom?

I cannot distribute sites with roms and bios on RUclips as it is completely against the site's rules regarding content piracy (I've seen several RUclips channels being deleted for posting roms for download). The patch you need to apply using LunarIPS or FloatingIPS on a clean rom. Distributing patches (ips or bps) is not prohibited, but distributing roms and bios is.

Pretty much yea. With new levels. While there’s only 48 levels while in the original there are 69 (not including the switch palace levels) a lot of them here are much longer and they are more challenging.
