Hi thank you for your videos. I think they're great. I'm about to step into the joy of fabric painting and wonder, for painting on white cotton t-shirts,do you think these are your favourite brand of paints? Xxx
Hi Catie Eliza! I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed the videos and even more excited that you're about to discover such a satisfying hobby like fabric painting 👏🤩 When it comes to painting on white/light colored textiles, I'm not that choosey, since many brands have really good products when it comes to transparent fabric paints. So yes, I do like to work with Jacquard Textile Colors on whites as well, as they have a good pigmentation, comfortable paint texture (not to thick and not too loose), they're not afraid of laundry and the color palette is very good too, so we can play around and mix most of shades.
Hi I just found your page it is awesome! I have a couple questions when it comes to heat setting and washing. How long inbetween do you let the fabrics dry with the paint until you can iron? Also, how long after heat setting can you then wash the fabric? Thank you!
Hi! Thanks for your feedback! To answer your first question, it's advised to give at least 4 hours after painting was completed before setting it with an iron. However, since drying time varies due to to a number of paint layers and paint brands, it's safer to let it rest overnight. Washing is best to delay for as long as possible. Otherwise after 7 days is a good practice.
Hello! Heat gun is ok too, just keep it at a significant distance away from the fabric (25-30cm) Paint doesn't like overheating as well. Keep in mind, that it'll take somewhat longer to heat set paint in this way as compared to iron.
I really wanted to see what mard Red looked like, and after much searching, I finally ran into this video. ty. It's perfect for not so fresh blood.
I was looking for paint to paint a figure suit!

What did you use to dilute the paint at 13:34 ? Is it the water ?
Yes, only water in this case.
does this make the fabric thick or stiff?
Hi no, this paint is rather soft, I showed it in the video, closer to the end
