Being an Indian...and having worked for Dell and Microsoft Technical support long back....when I started my career in 2000...I feel so horrible listening to these creeps....but here's the funny bit...most of the losers even with the genuine support spoke in a very poor accent...sucked at articulating themselves....and were very lousy at their job.....the only reason I took an early exit from call center/tech support industry was because I was surrounded by morons :(( But anyway...I have great memories of being helpful and having a great chat during the calls with my callers :)) It was always a great feeling to make things work when they were stuck with problems with their machines and they had really important stuff to do...oh well...good memories :))

At the 25 min mark, the scammer is telling Prateek that you will call him on the other number and he will listen. So E&E will call Prateek's toll free and "David" will be able to listen in. He basically wants Prateek to listen in on the conversation which would happen if E&E hung up and called the other number which would also let the scammers know which number was compromised.
Wow let me faint I can't believe Go Daddy actually responded to a complaint. I've seen several of your video's along with other scam baiting video's reporting sites to GD with no response. I guess getting shamed on YT is what it takes for them to get off of their a-- and finally do something.
Yep, just reported another one to them last night and they got back to me this morning letting me know it was suspended. Naming and shaming works, apparently.
Why not try to ring up and pretend in the past you paid for a 500 dollar 5 year support plan, and you now have a problem they said they would help with! You could give a fake reference number from one of the previous times where they didn't check the payment and gave you support! I'd love to hear what they say if you call up asking for future support beyond the initial scam!!

My father-in-law was recently phone scammed out of $7k (a different scam type) and EVERYONE needs to be aware to NEVER get a pre-paid card, nor hand out information solicited by a cold call. Unfortunately, the elderly get hit the hardest due to being trusting & ignorant, so education is key. Keep up the good work!

While irritating a scammer last week, I found an insult that left him speechless because he had no idea that I knew he was scamming me. "With all the software development going on in India, why can't you get a job as a developer?" "Is this the only job you could get because you're not smart enough to write software?" "Sir, I am a Microsoft Certified Technician!" "Just keep pretending that's true if it makes you feel better about yourself."
some clips translated fro Hindi (their Hindi dialect is distinct and different than Noida/Delhi/Gurgaon folks) scmmer (surprised ) says: "Array, Hindi men Gaali dey rahaa hai!" "array" is uttered when surprised. "you are cursing me in Hindi! (implied: I am surprised)" scammer: "Prateek brother, come here!" scammer: "This is the $250 customer I mentioned earlier" scammer to Prateek: "I am getting him (scambaiter) dial that original toll free number for you to pickup" followed by Hindi filth/curses ("Gaalis") . Noticed they say mother not Hindi word Madar/Maa'n but synonym "Maiya"

Actually, the MS site used to have a link to Teamviewer. Once they realized the scammers were using the link from their site to scam, they removed it

This is what I do sometimes but the actual tech support scam is being reduced, now they are all over the refund or Social security scam.
So, scamming their "customers" for money isn't enough...they also ask for DOB and SSN info? Yeah, that's not an identity theft case waiting to happen.
