I recently interviewed a bunch of Trump supporters. I asked them which of Trump’s policies were their favorite. Not one could name a single policy. When I asked their opinion of Trump’s stated policies, some didn’t believe that he really said/meant it. Others said they didn’t know or care. When I asked them why they voted for him, two said that he was a good businessman, three said that he was a good Christian, two said they just liked him, four said he would save us from Biden. I asked what terrible things they thought Biden was doing, none of them could name anything. (Interestingly enough, abortion and immigration never came up but I’m in SC.

Personally, I think, there are 2 sections of Trump voters. The kind, u interviewed, who are just full of grievances and will mindlessly follow any1, who is telling them, that nothing is their fault or responsibility, that anything bad in their lives are due to others (and point to who they should blame/hate), and that theres nothing, they can do about, coz these evil ppl make sure of it. They dont even care, that he at best does nothing for them, he allows them to be victims and to hate, and thats all, they want. And then theres the other kind, who see him for, who he is, but they just dont care, as long as they can perceive an advantage to them personally, screw the country, screw every1 else, they just want, whats good for them. So much so, that a lot of them may get, whats good for them short term, but long term will be disastrous, and theyre blinded to it by the very short term thinking, that is very pervasive in the US, and their deep selfishness.
One of the things, among many, that angers me about magats is that whenever I see our flag flying somewhere, I feel fearful that it's a magat and, therefore, I need to be cautious for my safety.
Hey Harry, 5:02 am in Motown. I'm staying positive, Trump shall be found guilty and Judge Merchan will assign Trump to a prison term. I'm hoping it will be at least a year! 🎉🎉🎉
Let's hope Trump and sycophants are right that Trump is headed to prison. Let's hope we pessimists are wrong that Trump will not go to prison, and Trump instead goes to prison forthwith after conviction.
Like Harry’s segment, “a SPIRITED debate”, lol…..trump’s version of this is when he makes a statement w/ 50% Adderall, 50% dementia fueling his so-called “points” (ie attacks).
I generally catch this on my podcast app on my iPad….but I’ve found way more Talking Feds content here on RUclips than on the regular Talking Feds podcast. Love Harry & TF!
The Russians got the playbook from Paul Manafort. They could focus on small groups of people within the public and the republican voter data . Find and exploit bias, angers, etc in the end those people found one another . Hate is high
I’m not sure Trump wants to debate. I think it is just a talking point, something for his base to grab onto, for the moment. Then, when it gets closer and closer, he will find some excuse, most likely something that he can say-like Biden is too old, or like you said, he won’t get a drug test.
I'll believe, that Trump shows up, when I see him waddle onto the stage. However, it just might be, that hes bought into his own bs and actually thinks, that Biden is this dementia ridden weakling, who is just sitting in the WH having broth shovelling into his mouth. Oh, but also this malevolent crime lord in charge of a worldwide criminal cabal, who is personally persecuting Trump. But hey, Mary Trump did say, that her uncle is the only person, she has ever known, who is capable of gaslighting himself.
all scotus, family members and staff should undergo forensic IRS audits til the bribery and non reporting scandals are clean and there's an ethics system that works.
It is a bridge too far. Alito and Thomas must recuse or be charged with accessories after the fact; at the minimum. If not them, perhaps their wives need to be investigated; since they want to blame them.
The cosplay just gives us a really good idea of the mental age which we are seeing: A bunch of spoiled entitled Rich Kids who have never had to grow up and act like adults.
Another key element is that in most incumbent situations, the incumbent is a known entity with a track record that can be attacked, whereas the challenger does not. It’s easier to make promises for the future when you don’t have an attackable track record. But in this rare situation we have two track records to compare and use as the backup for promises for the future. Trump’s track record is abhorrent.
Im sorry, when trymp talks outside the court room, its a rally! The news broadcasts it all over the USA. So he keeps in touch with his base on the daily!
Agree with Jason. Trump came up with running to stay out of jail from the start. And he's had special treatment all along. Even Judge Merchan flattered him regarding his position as candidate. SMH. VOTE BLUE 💙
I am from central Pennsylvania. The area of the state referrrd to by James Carville as Alabama North. No one, I repeat no one who is undecided in the coming election cares about Trump being a criminal and con artist. They know he is but do not care. They are focused on their economic lives- a truck driver I met the other day when asked by me who he was voting for he said, “well at these prices, Trump. I hate the man but it ain’t about who you drive with its bout who will do better for you. I am going broke at these prices.” He is an African American with an immigrant wife. Trump is promising in his ads lower gas prices. He knows that isn’t going to happen just because he says it. However, and this is the important point- by talking about it he knows that Trump is politically interested in that issue. If Biden talks about democracy he is concerned about that issue. He already has those voters. When Lincoln was running in Pennsylvania the issue he spoke about was tariffs, not slavery. Sometimes the most important issue of the day is not the most important issue to your voters.
@@boudiccamarchestorome9475 in a democracy, voters always want to know “what about me”. That is how this works. Gas prices may not be the most important thing to you, but if your house, kids education, paying your medical bills depended on it, you’d be more concerned I am sure. Any politician who diminishes these concerns of his voters is guaranteed to lose.
@@craigshagin5506 Maybe u should remind that trucker, that Trump is promising to an across the board 10% tariff on all important goods and 100% tariff on all goods from China. It is extremely difficult, and almost impossible, to get a police job with a felony arrest, even if it does not result in a conviction. The same is true for misdemeanor arrests (see, Montana's Greg Gianforte), but to a lesser extent. But for politicians like Trump, a felony arrest or conviction is not disqualifying to be the chief law enforcement officer¹ (president) of the United States. The Constitution's "take care clause" says the president has a constitutional duty to "take care that the laws [of the United States] be faithfully executed." The president has no authority to engage in insurrection under the 14th Amendment and is prohibited from insurrecting by the take care clause.
Face it. Age based voters aren't going to change. As well as Joe does, he looks very frail. So the voters that are, down on him because of age, won't be swayed. He just has to hope they will see beyond that and the need to keep trump out of the White House. Old age or not. Another problem is prices of necessities. Unless there is an obvious price decline, people who are living paycheck to paycheck, that matters. A lot!
The Republican Party, like any political party, has taken actions that have both supported and limited the constitutional democratic principles of the American federal government. However, it's important to note that the party's actions and policies have evolved over time and have been shaped by various factors, including political ideology, social and economic contexts, and political strategy. Some examples of how the Republican Party has been criticized for limiting constitutional democratic principles and weakening civil system safety include: 1. Voter suppression and gerrymandering: Efforts to restrict voting rights, limit ballot access, and manipulate electoral district boundaries have raised concerns about the erosion of democratic representation and the disenfranchisement of marginalized communities. 2. Attacks on the judiciary and the rule of law: Attempts to politicize the courts, undermine the independence of the judiciary, and disregard court rulings have raised concerns about the erosion of the separation of powers and the integrity of the legal system. 3. Limitations on civil liberties: Policies and actions that restrict individual freedoms, such as freedom of speech, assembly, and the press, have raised concerns about the erosion of fundamental rights and the silencing of dissenting voices. 4. Obstruction of congressional oversight and investigation: Efforts to block or hinder congressional inquiries and investigations have raised concerns about the erosion of checks and balances and the accountability of the executive branch. 5. Disregard for scientific evidence and expertise: The rejection of scientific consensus and the dismissal of expert advice on critical issues like climate change, public health, and national security have raised concerns about the erosion of evidence-based decision-making and the integrity of the policymaking process. 6. Voter ID laws and election security: Efforts to restrict voting rights and undermine election security have raised concerns about the erosion of democratic participation and the integrity of the electoral process. 7. Executive branch overreach: Expansive claims of executive authority, the use of executive orders to bypass congressional approval, and the disregard for congressional oversight have raised concerns about the erosion of checks and balances and the concentration of power in the executive branch. It's important to note that these criticisms are not necessarily universal and may be subject to interpretation and debate. Additionally, it's essential to recognize that the Democratic Party has also faced criticisms for similar actions and policies that have limited constitutional democratic principles and weakened civil system safety.
