  • In episode 7 we finally get to enjoy the fruits of all the labour! Some last steps and then the time has come to assemble all the individual components into a complete working guitar and hear the sounds it can make for the first time!
And a little hint for those of you who actually read the video description: This may be the last episode of the build, but not the final episode of the series! Stay tuned for a little bonus episode! ;)
Hi my name is Max Heidemann and I design and build guitars. Follow along as I try out new (for me at least!) techniques and materials in building the prototype for a modified custom guitar design I call "The Tilt."
Thanks so much to my buddy Tom for filming, editing and also writing, performing and recording original music. This project wouldn't have happened without your help!

Lovely workmanship throughout, attention to method and details has made this a great series - very nice bridge too. Looking forward to the next build.

Nice work! Deceptively simple but clever design on the bridge and saddle. Super clean wiring job gives a very skillful, professional feel. One possible suggestion, kill switch had a small popping sound when pressed, might a capacitor make it more quiet? Overall design and finish is simple yet elegant, I like it a lot. 👍

pretty cool guitar IMHO, I like a few things about it, the pickguard material, body shape, altho I believe it needs to be a thicker body with full contours it's not my design so.. I like the pickup and electronic work very clean very nice work, the zero nut is nice, true throwback features . . . not sure what the wood is but it's nice... good job son!

Really enjoyed this series. And the guitar is beautiful. I am currently making the move from kits and parts casters to a scratch build. I learned so much from this. Thank you so much for sharing.

I've watched the whole series on one batch. One video after the other. That's very good! Both the build and the video are very nice! I'm a little bit jealous of having someone to film while I'm working 😂😂😂.
It's not clear if you have used that large beam for the neck or not.... anyway, hope you make more videos like this series!

Great to watch your build. Where can someone find/buy the volume/tone knobs from that are in your guitar?

Is it really necessary to glue the frets in? Would be a pain (and damage the wood) when trying to pull out if you ever need to refret.

The wood glue is water soluable so you can have the benefits of more solidly seated frets while still being able to take them out easily. Many guitar makers use super glue instead and even with that the cleanup is pretty minimal when regfetting and the benefits outweigh the cost.

    The Bible is truth.
Please take your salvation seriously. Read at least three books of the Bible; Genesis, Mathew, and one you chose yourself. As you do practice forgiveness. Parents are easiest, they’ve loved you. It’s actually extremely important. To be forgiven we must forgive. Genuinely looking inside and confronting those grievances we all build up, forgiving from within your heart, that’s extremely important. The key is in the inner work Jesus Christ taught. Please break down before Jesus Christ and ask for forgiveness. Jesus Christ is lord, the way truth and life.
