I'm not exactly sure about that, that's probably a question for Google but that being said I always torque my tie rod end to the German specification,,, good and tight (said with a thick German accent) lol
What symptoms were you having? I have a loud noise while driving over the smallest bumps. Sway links are good but when I jiggled the outter tie rod they moved very effortlessly. Also no steering vibrations.
The customer complaint of a vibration and the Ford dealers told them that it was tie rod ends but that wasn't a deal it actually was coming from an internal transmission problem

Yep did this and was really worn, even ripped. Replaced sway bar link. Still have a rattle. Guessing a worn strut
Yeah sometimes noises can be hard to diagnose good luck with it
