I’m here for every Mike Patton reaction. Patton is the singer for Mr. Bungle, Faith No More, Tomahawk, Fantômas, Lovage, and many many more bands. He is one of the hardest working cats in the bizz. He also has the widest range of any singer. That’s right, he is number one!
I met Mike Patton in 1982 in our hometown of Eureka California at The Works records and stereo store where he was working as a cashier. He was amazing in customer service. Loved all types of music. Mr. Bungle was born in Eureka in 1985.
I love the light airy tone Patton takes on part of this layered over his chewy-noise side-ground sound effect vocals lol. Then choice of layered rounded throat tone, airy tone, and beatbox/effects later. The music of Bungle always so skilled, regardless of style and - frankly - whether a song I like or not of theirs.
Just remember that one Mr. Bungle song doesn't prepare you for the next one. Their stuff is pretty wild. You'll hear 6 different genres in a song, and maybe 2 or three genres played at once. Good luck!
this is probably one of their most normal songs cause this band is way out there and their music can be totally insane!!! like i said before my son loves this band but i just get a headache trying to listen to them lol
you've reacted to one other Bungle song - Squeeze Me Macaroni. that's off their first self-titled album which is a lot more silly/chaotic, this was their 3rd and final and the most mellow/poppy. still, each song on the album is wildly different incorporating all genres.
mike patton is an extremely versatile vocalist in a bunch of other projects too, Faith No More being the most well known (everyone lately is reacting to their hit "Epic" but that's far from their best song) the guitar player for Bungle, Trey Spruance is amazing as well and his side project Secret Chiefs 3 features even more complex yet structured compositions than Bungle. Anything either Mike or Trey do is worth checking out
@@sussychachi i think the build up as the song progresses makes up for that. simplicity/minimalism doesn't mean less talent. it's deceptively simple too, there's actually a lot of layers in the orchestration, but for sure it's probably their most straightforward "song". closest thing to a radio friendly track. i wanted to switch it up after squeeze me macaroni and show him their range. also people who aren't used to bungle i think need to be eased into it and this song is more poppy and maybe accessible . next up is girls of porn;) then probably carry stress in the jaw or some faith no more. if you got some other bungle you can put in a request too
I'm a new follower. So happy to hear Mr, Bungle (Mike Patton) on your list. Try some Mondo Cane which is also him. Live in Chile, second track please. IL Siena en una Stanza or something like that. His vocals will grab you, bro. Promise.
Yes, awesome! You should thank the dude that suggested this as a first react. Navigating Mr Bungle for someone uninitiated is akin to unknowingly walking into a minefield of insanity. One wrong step and you may recoil in horror, vowing never to return. What im saying is, many of their songs vary wildly in tone, artistry and genre. Many of which a vast majority of people would argue is not listenable or of any redeeming quality. If you go further with this group this is going to be a very entertaining (maybe morbidly so) watch.
California is a pretty mellow album. Carry Stress in the Jaw from Disco Volante (another of their albums) will give you quite a bit to think about. Enjoying the channel so far!
Mr. Bungle is great! Some of their lyrics are hysterical. To see them live is something else. I personally don't think this is the best introduction to them if you haven't heard them. Most of their music is vastly different, but that's what I like about them. All of their album are just a little different.
Thumbs up on the Mr. Bungle. You should also check out a group called Ween. They may be even more experimental than Mr. Bungle. Start with their song Voodoo Lady.
Vanity Fair to me is the best song. The lyrics, the layering of his lyrics with his "doo-wops" in the back. Air-Conditioned Nightmare is a favorite too.

If you listen to any Mr. Bungle song from any of their other albums, you will find that they will sound VASTLY different than this.... VASTLY!
Stubb A Dubb hehehe
Lol, you don't say. Will be funny watching T go through them

Bungle is art for the ears and music for the mind.
one of my sons fav band...i dont really get them but he loves them
Love Mr. Bungle
But you made it through a song. That's more than my parents would even try.
this is probably one of their most normal songs cause this band is way out there and their music can be totally insane!!! like i said before my son loves this band but i just get a headache trying to listen to them lol
They are complex band and creative not for people who listen to only simple music 🎶 lol
Ironically this song is simple xD
Everyone do yourself a favour and search for the piano cover of this song on RUclips, phenomenal!

@@TeezMcGee these are some of my favorite bands, I get excited watching people discover them for the first time 😂 diggin the sublime lately too
I prefer other songs this song is too slow 🐌 bungle has way more talent lol

Such a chilled vibe here 😌 😊
Gotta do some long Beach dub all stars pleeeease lol it's sublime after Bradley died.. Wonders of the world is an excellent one to start with
Mike Patton and his band Fantomas do an amazing live version of the Al Green song ‘simply beautiful’. It’s on youtube.
Tick, tick, tick in the digital box factory 👍

New to your site! Amazing song!!! Great reaction!

Hehe....... he said bunghole
🤣🤣🤣😂
Nice one 😄💯
Their self-titled album is a masterpiece, albeit LSD helps significantly.
Desert Search for Techno Allah
One of the least Bungle sounding songs. Normally they jump between several contrasting genres within 1 song.
Pink cigarettes is way better lol why do people keep choosing this song
I agree, although I do like this song too.
I wish more would choose Ars Moriendi as well. It’s a trip.
Why choose any song when you can have all kind of songs in Ars Moriendi... 😉
Any song in Californiais better than retro vertigo xD@@SpaceRampage
