I watch the movie just to hear the song. Drawing a blank on the name. It was about a bored millionaire who orchestrated an elaborate bank heist just to give him something to do.
I discovered these guys in 1990 thanks to Spike Lee's documentary and concert film - Spike Lee & Company: Do It Acapella; also discovered Rockapella on that film - two of the great acapella groups - always loved this arrangement of Windmills.
I saw these guys live quite a while back and, Woah! Incredible. Their style is immediately recognizable, but that doesn't mean everything sounds alike. They're scary good live.
@@duanereed9358 Same with me. Ive been a big fan of Take 6 since their inception in 1988. Still a fan in 2023. 35 YEARS! still miss you Cedric, still Miss you Mervyn!
I have never heard of that documentary, jimraw1. I will look for it. I discovered them while I was in high school listening to my favorite station, kxjz, in california. That was 20 years ago. They are still my favorite group!
Great song, masterful lyric - but too repetitive. As much as I like it, it's boring. Then Take 6 arranges it, changes key, changes the feel, blows it out of the water. Absolute perfection.
Completely lost any French feeling. Great arrangement & performance anyway. And it's repetitiveness that builds in the original version. The genuine stuff.
Wow! Love it! Great tune. #Capella #SmoothVocals

Take Six has the best voices, arrangements, and pitch than any other group to whom I have listened. Thank you for making them available via RUclips!
Such talent in each member. I love the joy coming from their voices. Truly Anointed!
Take 6 has blown my mind on more than one occasion. Mind blown once again.
Hands planting windmills in hilltops that keeps us warm. I find describes Jesus Christ with two hands of light that he presented forward! Terrill TC!
👏💐Un brillante reprise et arrangement d'un thème célèbre du Grand Michel Legrand ❤️🎹🙏🎼
Whatever Take 6 produces they manage to turn it on its head and create magic and even out perform the original artists of songs

I've heard these gents since 1988 ... studio OR live they're excellent plus.
I saw them years ago for my birthday and vinnie’s bass literally made my jewelry vibrate!

I can't listen to the original any more; this arrangement takes it BEYOND _________ (hey, fill in the blank)!

Last night in Indianapolis, Take 6 sang this with the same vocal perfection. Absolutely marvelous.
I really wish i could see them live also..... i believe they're sounded perfect..
So groovy! Bravo, gentlemen!

My thoughts exactly. And I heard the original, and heard and liked Sting's version too, but this version makes me get lost in it.

Adrian Fundescu I remember St.Tropez

Probably because it goes without saying for anyone familiar with the song, but thanks for saying.
How BEAUTIFUL the mind is?
Soooooo, Jacob Collier is indeed not creator of all music universe and extra cosmos !
This group is made up of his idols. He grew up listening to them. They work with him too
round like a circle in a spiral
like a wheel within a wheel
never ending on beginning
on an ever spinning reel
like a snowball down a mountain
or a carnival balloon
like a carousel that's turning
running rings around the moon
like a clock whose hands are sweeping
past the minutes on its face
and the world is like an apple
pinning silently in space
like the circles that you find
in the Windmills of your mind
like a tunnel that you follow
to a tunel of its own
down a hollow to a cavern
where the sun has never shone
like a door that keeps revolving
in a half forgotten dream
like the ripples from a pebble
someone tosses in a stream
like a clock whose hands are sweeping
past the minutes on its face
and the world is like an apple
spinning silently in space
like the circles that you find
in the Windmills of your mind
keys that jingle in your pocket
words that jangle in your head
why did summer go so quickly
was it something that i said
lovers walk along a shore
and leave their footprints in the sand
was the sound of distant drumming
just the fingers of your hand
pictures hanging in a hallway
or the fragment of a song
half remembered names and faces
but to whom do they belong
when you knew that it was over
were you suddinly aware
that the autumn leaves were tuming
to the colorof her hair
like a circle in a spiral
like a wheel within a wheel
never ending or beginning
on an ever spinning feel
as the images unwind
like the circles that you find
in the
Windmills of your mind
Im trying to share this video and its not letting me .... im trying to download it to my mp3 player and its not allowing me :(

Terrible.
Ruined a fantastic song, sucking any resemblance of the original versions flavour.
