*FUN FACT:* this game has the “fear frequency” playing in the back which is what they use in horror movies to raise your anxiety levels. you can barely hear it but when the volume is raised, it sounds like a fast heartbeat, and what do you know? you can hear it playing in the background of this video. so, staying calm when they said to take deep breaths is basically impossible because the frequency is still playing. :)
And I thought it was my own heartbeat... That’s kind of a relief it wasn’t.

It's a really interesting game. It's cool how the developers looked at how people describe or react towards stress and discomfort and took advantage of it. The sounds and the pictures and the colors and even the choice of words is known to put you on edge. It's a sensory type of game and it makes it so unique. It's kinda brilliant

The only problem is it tries to pull the "Are you sure this is a game?" gambit which is one of the things that kills the immersion. Another is the threats and pranoia it tries to dredge up when all you have to do is go "It's a game on steam coded and programmed." Plus the fact that is is a bank of questions....its not some actual A.I. that 'knows' anything.
i really watched this entire video and the second one alone in my dark room while my whole family was asleep and couldn’t help if anything happened. nothing can phase me anymore i am invincible
its the middle of the day, sun is shining bright, im doing colouring while watching this video and have been binge watching horror and yt videos on horror all day so far and im still just meh about it all.
I think that if instead of a jump scare at the end of the test, if the screen went "black" and instead recreated the look of computer screen glare with a general player figure and a figure standing behind you it would've been creepier and would've felt less cheap.
Rero Funk okay this, so the player is like “what...?” and squints even closer and THEN a jump-scare. because as cheap as they are, it made me throw my phone watching this video and actually scared the shit out of me
It takes audio inputs and replies to certain commands like "can you hear me " and it will reply with a very quick, yes, Jack looked away and missed it of course. This game plus video footage (allowing a screen glare) would make a really damn good experience.
Or something using the surround audio, like a voice whispering "Behind you..." in your ear.

I have bad anxiety and get panic attacks at night. First time I watch this I last like one minute. I now have been doing better with meds and all so have been useing this test once a year to see how I'm doing.

I knew what I was getting into and I watched the Watson Scott test for the first time and I watched it without commentary in the dark. I've gotten pretty used to horror but this game had me curled up in a ball. It was so uncomfortable and terrifying. It was one of the first horror elements that had my full attention and made me completely paranoid.
