Even more terrifying, only about 50 of over 70 men have even been identified.
Well, 36 are pleading not guilty. So they are innocent until proven guilty. I imagine that has something to do with it. I’m not agreeing just offering a possibility. Hopefully, they will be found guilty and get long sentences. .

The daughter also finding out at the trial that her father also had pictures of her in that folder too... That man has no respect for either his wife or daughter and deserves to lose everything.

At least France is bringing this to trial. Allegedly in South Korea there is a group of men that subscribe to either abuse or have their wives abused and filmed. Those men we let off with a slap on the wrist. Stronger laws need to be put in place to protect women from this type of abuse.
FRANCE24 you are complicit in guilt if you do not show the pictures of the husband himself. Are you protecting him from receiving his due public shame and humiliation as part of the punishment for his crimes? Where is his face? All I see is hers and the 51 rapists he directed to commit HIS crimes.
I am not sure but it was revealed in twitter that all the accused have opted for close trial and only the victim has opted for open trial so no media houses can publish the faces officially until the trial is over

As per French law they cannot show the faces or give the identities of the accused until they are convicted.
The victims identity is permanently protected, unless as in this case, she chooses to waive that right.
So everyone is following the law. This is to protect men who may be falsely accused. His reputation could be destroyed even if they found not guilty.
Once the verdict come in, you’ll get to see the pictures and identities and information of everyone found guilty

What I find sickening on top of the whole case and what happened to Gisèle Pélicot is that the male reporter also doesn’t use full names or at the end her name at all, but just calls her woman. Only the female reporter is on board with Gisèle’s wishes of openness to have the perpetrators out in the open.

Neither the husband-perpetrator nor the alleged rapists have had their faces shown on camera. By contrast the wife, daughter and brothers have had press cameras trained on them.

Rape has become common in every country but the foreign media has shown the rapes happening in India so much as if girls are not safe at all in India.

That her gynecologist didn't pick up on the signs of sexual trauma is incredible. Besides bruises on legs, forced intercourse shows up on the outside genitals and inside too, and if it had been going on for a decade, there must have been many times she had unexplained bruises, sore genitals.
Weird to think her husband kept under the radar for so many years until he escalated his crimes. She praised the police that they saved her life, and I agree. Who knows what her husband would have done to her later? Snuff film?

The thing is rape has a maximum punishment of three years in every western country and law enforcement does not take rape seriously. Women EVERYWHERE should demand higher punishments for violence against women and more funding for police SOLELY for rape and violence. Even though that type of crime is highest, most countries have more officers for parking and speeding infringements.

@franciscvmpbell the UK has all but decriminalised it with a conviction rate of 1% of the pithy 6% that make it to court. Which fell to 3% in 2019/20. A whopping 1/3 recieve sentences of less than 7 years which is automatically cut in half. To suggest that this crime is effectively policed and prosecuted in the UK is farcical.

This is insane, there was a case exactly like this in Singapore. What is wrong with these men? Why aren’t homeland security branches worldwide taking steps to prevent this online? There are literally sites that men are going to orchestrate this across multiple countries. Why do we allow men like this to abuse women worldwide?
The reported number of chemical submissions cases is much lower than instances in reality because it is so hard to prove. Not only that, so many male and female victims don’t know they’ve been violated in such a way. Perpetrators that have been charged are often (if now always) been caught by accident and their crimes uncovered on their ‘devices’. What I would like to see brought to awareness is removing the cloak of invisibility, so many times crimes like this are being committed inside the family home. If men hate their wives so much, why did they get married?
That term "chemical submission" is truly bizarre. An unconscious woman being abused in this way has not submitted to anything, chemically or otherwise. No submission involved whatsoever.

As someone who was sexually assaulted by a stranger, out in a public space. I admire and respect her courage. I dropped the charges because I couldn’t bear to be re-traumatized by standing in court looking at that disgusting POS and I was lucky that a police car was passing by and stopped it from escalating into rape. I cannot imagine the pain she is going through

It is a sad fact that I know a survivor of a serial rapist who later went on to kill some of the women, and throughout my life, have known two other women who were gang raped, one here in the United States, another in Ireland.
I think anyone familiar with US colleges and "bro-culture" knows rapists thrive in groups.
