I think there should be a poll, open to subscribers and Anderson’s staff for best intro ever. Make a top 6 - 10. Pete does a quick explanation of each one, plus the product it promotes before it plays. Forgotten intros and forgotten products. That would be an epic video to watch.
Quite a while ago, I used t to run a boss heavy metal into a Rat. The heavy metal had that chainsaw sound, and I used the rat to boost it with the filter control down to get rid of the annoying high end of the heavy metal. Sounded pretty good through my jcm 800.
@@snooootch it wasn't an oversight by any measure. I expressly didn't want a switch. A second switch to go to another sound would present a nightmare because none of the controls would be perfect for the alternate sound. No second switch keeps these simple, easy to use stompboxes that provide unique sound potentials.
yeah, adding the switch either means playing leftovers or doubling everything, and at what cost? seems Mr. Keeley was here getting it sorted before i showed up. lol!

As great as it is, I can’t help but feel they might’ve been better off using a more modern guitar type for this demo. Would be interested to hear if there would be a difference.
Pete's done it all in the past... before this he did huge stadium tours (like Wembley!!), played with tom jones, lionel ritchie, Nicole Scherzinger, loads of pop bands..
Feels like they just ran out of ideas and were like - screw it, just throw a bunch of classic circuits together. Keely is a hit and miss company- always have been imo. They make some of the best pedals on the market- and some of the worst. The v.1 Neutrino envelop filter- that thing was so horrid I almost never sold it. Took months to finally find a Keeley collector who didn't really care what it sounded like, just needed it to complete his collection. These aren't that bad, but they're also not that good- kind of boring Keeley.
Yeah the way he says "because we have to say that" is weird lol. I do miss when RUclipsrs would say it at the end of the video, you know after you've watched the content and judged if it's worth liking lol

Those are some of the most aesthetically pleasing guitar pedals I've ever seen.
I really like how the gradient on the emblem matches the color of the light glaring off the knobs.

i agree. i use pete as a litmus for the sound of things that arent metal and kyle bull for things that are.
He plays music and yet he is not allowed to play any discernable melodies under copyright. That can't be easy either.

I have never played a Keeley pedal that had a bad sound on any setting. They really know how to tune the tone.
That left the rails pretty fast, pretty funny for those of us paying more attention to the banter than the pedals

That Bobcat left out the best parts of a Mustang - the switches that let you go out of phase and the bridge/vibrato.
